RESULTS: Dega 500

Nine drivers competed in the 2nd Dega 500 @ Talladega. Raptor scored the 3-peat for winning poles in the Dega Dash, TS Shootout, and Dega 500. That pole got him five bonus points. After some technical difficulties, we got the race underway, an HMS front row leading the way. The lead changed hands several times and there were numerous cautions throughout the 188 lap event. It was a heated battle till the end, Burnout played some fuel strategy but didn't necessarily have the strongest car to Scorpio. However he managed to hold on side-by-side running the high line in the final turn to win his very first restrictor plate race and his first Dega 500.

4. [RCR] Pilburn (Chevrolet) - 42 pts
5. [HMS] Raptor* (Chevrolet) - 37 pts (+5 pole)
6. [PEN] Kooler (Dodge) - 33 pts
7. [RGM] Fastman65 (Dodge) - 29 pts
8. [HMS] DerekE (Chevrolet) - 25 pts
9. [RCR] DOC (Chevrolet) - (-20 pts)

Driver leading the most laps is yet to be determined.
