RESULTS: DEGA DASH

5 drivers competed for a transfer spot into the 2nd Annual TS Shootout. Rookie Raptor driving the #24 for Hendrick scored the pole with a 14.169 sec lap. He and Doc, driving the #31 for this race only (will normally drive the #07), made up the front row. Doc went on to win segment 1 of the Dash. Later the field was inverted with the winner Doc starting deep in the field. Doc quickly got up to the front after he was involved in an early wreck. From there he broke away from the main pack and managed to hold on to the win. However, he cheated the rules and played unfairly today as we were doing a practice race and he has been banned. The runner-up Raptor gets the entry into the shootout since Doc has been kicked.

Nice job for the two rookies, Raptor and Scorpio. They could be threats in the Dega 500.
