ENTRY LIST: SCARTS Shootout @ Daytona (Exhibition)

Sunday is the day for the 2010 SCARTS Shootout @ Daytona to kick off the SCARTS season.

This year, the Shootout is open to all available drivers who can participate at 5pm EST Sunday afternoon. The race kind of doubles as a fun exhibition and a race to set your starting spots for the 500 next week. The race is for fun and pays no points, except that winner earns an automatic +5 for leading a lap in the Daytona points race next week if for some reason they fall back from the pole in the race. The finishing order from the race will be the starting order in the 500, even if the polesitter didn't win the race. Whoever sits on the pole for the Shootout will be acredited as the polesitter for Daytona in the season standings even if someone else starts the 500 from the front row.

The race has now been increased to 100 laps given the larger turnout for the Shootout this year.

Advertised Time: 5pm EST (be on time)
Practice start: 5:05pm EST (15 minutes), miss practice, start in the rear in order of connection to server
Qual: 5:25pm EST target time, 5:30 at the latest
Race: Five minutes after qualifying ends (but no later than 5:45pm EST)

Fuel: 400 seconds, startfuel change allowed
Up to three GWC attempts

No, CJ is an old friend of mine from Turbo Sliders and wasn't able to race the game recently with his Linux system. I helped him fix his lag issues and now he's entered. I remember contesting him for fastest laps at the old demo tracks like Sandslid. He's a really nice person and will be a good fit for SCARTS.

I am lending the 98 until Emaneul's comp is fixed, at least for now.

Are we doing Green-White-Checkards this year?

Yes, the three GWC rule will be in effect for the race Sunday.

NOTES:
- Server will have multiple tracks set just in case we do GWC finishes.
- No bonus for leading in the first 20 laps nor halfway since its an exhibition
- 5 bonus points to the winner, counts as automatically leading a lap in the 500.

I thought you said this year we weren't going to have points for exhibition races.
