Wonkndeso Xtreme Racer

Wonkndeso Xtreme Racer is a car racing RPG fan fiction made by myself (CBA-R35. Also known as Rendy). This fan fiction trails the life of Zen Kusanagi, an 18 year-old driver that have been raced Japanarta GP before but his GT-R Skyline R34 was broken after the race. Some of Zen’s family member became addicted to the "Wonkndeso Racing Scene" and so does his friends.

The Wonkndeso Racing Scene were settle in on the fictional place called “Ndesoland” in the year of 20xx. In this place, the Wonkndeso Racing Scene is getting more intense by racing in shopping malls, water parks, and recreation centres in addition to mountain passes, racing circuits, city streets, dirt areas, and highways. This is said to be the “Weirdest Racing Fan Fiction Ever” for the involvements of shopping malls, water parks and recreation centres as a racing place.

=== PLOT ===

The story is started with Zen Kusanagi hurrying to the Japanarta GP. His three rivals were include Ryoiji Nakamichi the racing master, Markkus Montianen, and a model and a newly-known racer Elicia Hearst were waiting to race him. In the first episode, Zen is driving a Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34 model) but closely when he almost finish the race, his car were broken. Zen became shame to himself and starting from the beginning again by racing back to his hometown Fujiwara Village, the small town of Coreland in order to bring his confidence back.

His brothers and sisters and even his friends were turned from normal into extraordinary people who races for the Wonkndeso Racing Scene. Notable family member of Zen who is considered as the toughest rival in his family are Gabriell Gonzalez, a Latina cover model who is a part of Fabirizo Bonacelli, a Japanese-Italian owner of Bonacelli Telecommunications Corporation who drives Tommy Kaira ZZ-S and Karenina Berhalter, the most famous fashion designer in Chastesburg City. However, he also have his own party of four that consists of Satoru Kapetta the former WGP racer, the young genius Shigeru Kazuoh, and the “Winter Beauty” Petra Hijinska. Together, they combine their powers to win the WGP and conquer the Wonkndeso Racing Scene.

Japanarta: A cross between Jakarta and Japan. This city offers many challenges for the Wonkndeso Racing scene. The city have potentially big malls and water parks for the races as well as the highways, city streets, and racing circuits

Coreland: This city consists of 3 sections:

- Fujiwara Town: The area located in the Central Coreland. Home to Zen Kusanagi. It has Fujiwara High and Fujiwara Warehouse. The masters of this location are Danielle Cromwell and A.J Walters. This town consists of:
- Fujiwara Village
- Fujiwara Lakeside (West of Fujiwara Village)
- Drift Academy (A chain racing school developed by Kojiro Kuroyanagi)
- Fujiwara Tuning Shop (A tuning shop across D.A)
- Bali Village (South of Fujiwara Lakeside)

- Southern Area: The area that have the names of Wangan Midnight Characters like “Akikawa Valley,” “Blackbird District,” and South Coreland’s finest chicken restaurant “Kuroki’s Fried Chicken” which is a pun of Takayuki Kuroki and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Home to Shigeru Kazuoh. At the intersection, you’ll notice that the East direction from the intersection is to the other city known as “Maineland.”

- Northern Area: The area that have the names of Initial D Characters like “Iketani Street,” “Takahashi Market,” and more. Home to the finest school St. Caris School and the home to Elina Rowleton a.k.a Principal Mademoiselle.

Japanarta Circuit, the time is 13:50.

Japanarta, a big city on Ndesoland. There is a Grand Prix race held nearby, involving racers from different occupations, different nationalities, and different skills gather in the race that have been grown into a racing scene where it called "Wonkndeso Racing Scene," a racing scene which is not only involving real racers, but other peoples with other occupations. A racing scene which also take place in shopping malls, water parks, and recreation centers in addition of highways, city, circuits, dirt areas, and mountain passes. And a racing scene where any cars regardless of their category can join in.

The Wonkndeso Champion, Ryoiji "The Emotional King" Nakamichi became much powerful thanks to his 6-year arcade racing experience. He is the king of the mountain pass races, but there are 2 pretenders which will take his crown. Markkus Montianen, the rally driver-wannabe, and Elicia Hearst, a model and a newcomer in the racing scene. These 2 drivers are "legitimate drivers" although they are not as legitimate as Ryoiji.

Now, the destiny is coming for Zen Kusanagi, the new driver. He doesn't have a solid experience to arcade races and so does his real driving experience though in video games and personal computers. In this Japanarta Speedway, his story will began...

(A truck that carry Zen's R34 is on the way to the Japanarta Speedway)
Zen: "Are we there yet?"
Jack: "Nope, but be patient."
Zen: "Come on, It's my first gig on the race!"
Lisa: "Calm down Zen, we're not there yet."
Jack: "Yes. After all, we need to have some good settings for your car."
Zen: "Okay..."
Lisa: "Be patient there, Zen."

Now while we are waiting Zen's car to arrive, why don't we check other contestant like... Elicia Hearst.

Eli's BG: "Elicia, what are you doing?"
Elicia: "Just putting my make up on."
Eli's BG: "Don't you know what time is it?"
Elicia: "It's race day."
Eli's BG: "Hurry up, you have 10 minutes to put that on."
Elicia: "Okay then."

Gilroy: "Ryoiji."
Ryoiji: "What?"
Gilroy: "You have to race in the real circuit and not a virtual circuit anymore."
Ryoiji: "Don't ask me that."
Gilroy: "Why?"
Ryoiji: "You know, I have driven the mountain pass before you say that."
Gilroy: "Don't tell me you're..."
Ryoiji: "I'm gonna use my skills and my balance to win." (leaving Gilroy)
Gilroy: "But Ryoiji, can you just..."

Then, let's check out Markkus.

Mikki: "Markkus, you have to believe in yourself as a driver."
Markkus: "I know." (nervous)
Mikki: "Mark, why are you nervous?"
Markkus: "It's... My first time racing in the real world."
Mikki: "Don't be nervous just because you spend your time racing with your fingers. At least, your fingers are as flexible and good."
Markkus: "Thanks Dad."
Mikki: "The point is you have to believe yourself. You can develop your race skills here. How about now? Your confidence is back?"
Markkus: "Absolutely!"

Finally, Zen's arrive. With the truck parked, Zen rushed into his paddock.

Zen: "Mom, Dad.I'm gonna go!" (run into the paddock)
Lisa: "Zen, wait! Your car is..."
Jack: "Don't be worried. Maybe we can bring it together."
Lisa: "Darn right. I've never imagine it before..."

And when Zen arrived at the paddock, three GP drivers (Elicia, Ryoiji, and Markkus) are waiting.

Ryoiji: "So this is the new driver, huh?"
Zen: "Yeah."
Ryoiji: "You don't look so promising to me. You're a beginner!"
Zen: "Yeah..."
Elicia: "But though he's beginner he could be faster than you like Brawn GP overtaking Ferrari's butt."
Ryoiji: "Who are you? You don't suppose to interfere with my conversation with him."
Elicia: "I'm a model you know! If you mess with me, you have to mess with..."
(Suddenly, Elicia's Bodyguard kicks Elicia out from the heated conversation)
Eli's BG: "What are you doing here, you suppose to be prepare your car!"
Elicia: "God! Can I talk to them for a moment?
Ryoiji: "Okay then, why don't you..."
(Suddenly, Zen's R34 is aprroaching with Zen's parent carrying it)
Lisa: "Here it is!"
Jack: "Your GT-R is ready!"
Ryoiji: "Whoa..."
Markkus: "What was that?"
Ryoiji: "No way! It's your GT-R?
Zen: "I told you to not crushing my joy!"
Ryoiji: "not bad for a Shutokou machine. But don't expect much of it. Because my Kaido machine will crush you all!" (leaving)
Zen: "???"
Markkus: "Don't worry. He always been like that."
Zen: "You know anything from him?"
Markkus: "I'm from Finland. Don't know anything about Kaido racers."
Zen: "But how do you know?"
Markkus: "I saw his profile on the internet."
Zen: "Oh."
Markkus: "Gotta leave! See you!"
Zen: "Okay."

Japanarta Circuit, the time is 14:00.

The race at the Japanarta Speedway is starting. The starting order is Ryoiji's Evo. III is first, then Elicia's Ford Fiesta is second, and Markkus' 307 is third. While Zen is... 8th place with red car drones placed 4th to 7th.

Announcer: "Get ready guys for the 3-lap race! START YOUR ENGINES!!!"
(All racers started their engines)
Crowd: (screams)
Ryoiji: "Don't bothering me on the road, Mrs. Australian Model."
Elicia: "My name is Elicia!!! Note that Emotional King!"
Markkus: "Come on, can we just straight to the race?"
Zen: "Darn! Eight place! must get into the first place!"
Announcer: "Ready? Set... GO!!!"
(8 cars are running past the starting line)

And the race has started! Drone #4 and #3 have a bad start. Zen overtakes Drone #4 while Ryoiji, Elicia, and Markkus battle for the first turn!



Ryoiji: (drifts in the first turn) "I'm still leading..."
Elicia: "Oh really?"
Markkus: "I guess I'm gonna slide here..."
Zen: "Go full force!"



[Ryoiji: 1st; Elicia: 2nd; Markkus: 3rd; Zen: 6th]

Second turn, Ryoiji drift through the turn but Elicia edged closer! Drone #3 attacked Zen, but Zen could recover! Drone #2 is losing control so the car ran into the gravel. Zen advanced to 5th place.



[Ryoiji: 1st; Elicia: 2nd; Markkus: 3rd; Zen: 5th]

Zen found a hole to overtake Drone #1, and Zen overtakes him! Ryoiji is drifting, but Elicia takes a look up inside.



Elicia: "How's that for now?"
Ryoiji: "Not finished yet!"
Zen: "I'm coming you guys!"

[Ryoiji: 2nd; Elicia: 1st; Markkus: 3rd; Zen: 4th]

Into the hairpin, Elicia tries hard to keep the lead but she couldn't hang on any longer! Ryoiji overtakes her.



[Ryoiji: 1st; Elicia: 2nd; Markkus: 3rd; Zen: 4th]

Ryoiji: "You enjoyed that control, Elicia?"
Elicia: "Dang!"

The last turn of the circuit. Zen edged closer to Markkus, Markkus tries to not letting Zen take his third place. Until the last turn ended, the first lap completed.

Markkus: "Try me, buddy!"
Zen: "I'm not gonna let you!"

[Ryoiji: 1st; Elicia: 2nd; Markkus: 3rd; Zen: 4th]

In lap 2, the first turn and the second turn makes no difference to the racers' positions. Until turn 3, Zen overtakes Markkus outside line.

Markkus: "No way!"

[Ryoiji: 1st; Elicia: 2nd; Markkus: 4th; Zen: 3rd]

Turn 4. Elicia, Ryoiji, and Zen were battling for the 1st place. As the last turn finished, it is now the final lap.

Zen: "I will win!"
Ryoiji: "No you don't!"
Elicia: "Victory are not yours!"

Turn 1 and 2 remains a same position for drivers. Except that Ryoiji and Elicia were battling for the 1st place. Elicia losing control of her car and Zen overtakes her right before the 3rd turn.

Elicia: "Oh my god!!!"
Zen: "Good bye!"
Elicia: "Hey you, catch that red car!"

In the turn 3 and hairpin, Ryoiji became faster while Zen don't wanna lose him. In the last turn, the race is almost end. Zen tried to overtake Ryoiji in the outside line, but suddenly his car stats to spin uncontrollably. Hitting the wall just before he made it to the finish line. But that's not all. He could recover himself but Elicia takes back her 2nd place from Zen and Zen anded up in the 3rd position. Leaving Markkus in 4th place.

Announcer: "GOAL!!! And the winner is, Ryoiji Nakamichi!"
Crowd: (screams) "Ryoiji! Ryoiji! Ryoiji!"
(Ryoiji put his right hand up to emerge his victory)
Zen: "God, that's almost..."
Markkus: "Way to go! What a tight race even though you're finished 3rd."
Zen: "Thanks Mark!"
Markkus: "Well, I cannot make it into the podium. But maybe I'm gonna start practising again. If you want to race together, meet you in Snowdon!"
Zen: "Have a great day Mark!"
Markkus: "Bye Zen!"

After the podium...

Ryoiji: "You know something, maybe you're not tough but 2nd place is really great, for a beginner."
Zen: "Hah, what can I expect more than you?"
(Zen's car suddenly unleashing a very bad-smelled smoke)
Ryoiji: (covers his nose) "Arrgh. Zen, bring your car to the scrapyard! It's broken."
Zen: "What do you mean it's broken?"
Ryoiji: "Your car is overheated!"
Zen: "And why?"
(Ryoiji run away)
Elicia: "He's right. Your car were scrapped after you tried your hard to beat him."
Zen: "I guess you're right."
Elicia: "Don't worry. We'll meet again sometime..."
Zen: "Alright then."

With Zen's car totally scrapped, can he change this car into a new car? Let's see the next episode!

On the way home, 21:00

Zen's car were totally scrapped after his Japanarta GP Race, he placed 3rd and he almost beat Ryoiji Nakamichi. After the podium celebration and all drivers were leaving the speedway while Zen's family went back home to where they are supposse to be, Fujiwara Village, a small town of Coreland.

Lisa: "Well Zen, at least you're in 3rd place."
Zen: "God, I almost win that race!"
Jack: "Don't be dissapointed to yourself. You've been this far."
Zen: "Dad, listen."
Jack: "What do you want to say, hero?"
Zen: "My car were scrapped after the race."
Jack: "What do you say?"
Lisa: "How do you know that this car is wrecked?"
Zen: "The engine is overheated. Why not we check out in this road?"
Lisa: "In the middle of the road?"

Suddenly, Zen's truck were stopped in the middle of the road to make sure that Zen's R34 were overheated.

Jack: (smells the bad smell of the engine) "Phew! You're right!"
Zen: "I told you so."
Jack: "How do you know?"
Zen: "Ryoiji checked my car after the race."
Lisa: "Haa ha ha ha. What's the point about the racing master smells a bad smell?"

All of the sudden, a mysterious driver appears with his Z33 (Nissan Fairlady 350Z).

?????: "Hey, I heard your car was scrapped."
Zen: "Wha... Who are you?"
?????: "My name is Garth Mitche, I'm the most precious racer in Japanarta."
Zen: "Garth?"
Garth: "Yes, and this is my Z33." (shows his car) "This is my precious car I ever drove."
Lisa: "Wow..."
Jack: "What a great car."
Andy: "Thanks. Now I'm gonna lead you to the car repair center where your broken car will be repaired."
Jack: "I have a bad feeling about this..."
Lisa: "He's harmless, follow his lead."
Garth: "Come on. I lead you with my car."

Later after they almost make it onto the repair center, there's a Nissan Fairlady S30Z stopping him.

(A girl coming out from her car and takes off her sweater)
Mademoiselle: "We're meet again, Garth Mitche."
Garth: "Principal Mademoiselle?"
Mademoiselle: "Yea, why? I stop you here because I want to challenge you!"
Garth: "Let me guess. You use my sister to challenge me, right?"
Mademoiselle: "This time is different. I wanna test you, troublemaker!"
Garth: "Trouble maker?"
Zen: "What? You are a trouble maker?"
Garth: "My sister, use me as a blaming object. She did all the troubles but those troubles went up to me."
Zen: "No way..."
Mademoiselle: "Yes it is. Not only you're a trouble maker, you also a exagerrating liar."
Garth: "Don't make me pissed off!"
Mademoiselle: "Liar! Liar! Liar! Exaggerate!"
Garth: "Stop it!"
Mademoiselle: "Liar Exaggerate! Race my S30Z in a 3 lap race!"
Garth: "Fine! If that's what you want, I'm gonna teach you! Zen, get in the car."
Zen: "Wha... Wait a."
Garth: (Garth and Zen get in to Garth's Z33) "I'll show you a professional driving!"
Zen: "Okay..."
Lisa: "Jack, isn't it too dangerous to let our son involved in this dogfight?"
Jack: "I think so, but maybe he'll learn the true driving."
Lisa: "I'm so scared, though."

It is a 3 laps race between Garth Mitche (Zen Kusanagi) and Elina "Mademoiselle" Rowleton, the vengeful principal.

Lisa: (shaking) "Duh, I am so scared about this... I guess I'm gonna..."
Jack: "GO!!!"
(Garth and Mademoiselle's car running)
Lisa: "Jack, what are you doing?"
Jack: "Don't make them wait any more!"


[Garth (Zen): 2nd; Mademoiselle: 1st]

The cars entered the first turn, Mademoiselle is in the lead while Garth left behind after Principal did her Holeshot. They are turning by gripping. No position change.


[Garth (Zen): 2nd; Mademoiselle: 1st]

(Garth hits Mademoiselle's car)
Mademoiselle: "What are you doing, Liar Exaggerate?"
Garth: "Just to tell you my name is Garth Mitche!"
Zen: "Maybe we can tell her after this race."
Garth: "Up to you Zen. I'll bring your car to the car repair shop!"

No slight change in turn 2.


[Garth (Zen): 2nd; Mademoiselle: 1st]

All of the sudden, Garth tries to overtake Mademoiselle in the right side of this screen...

But actually...

Garth edged closer to Mademoiselle at the next turn.


[Garth (Zen): 2nd; Mademoiselle: 1st]

Mademoiselle: "Not even close..."

But when Garth overtake Mademoiselle, she became freak out. Garth takes the outside line and overtakes Mademoiselle.

Mademoiselle: "OH SHOOT!!!"
Garth: "Great!"
Zen: "Nice job!"
Garth: "I told you I can beat that principal!"


[Garth (Zen): 1st; Mademoiselle: 2nd]

As the race is on lap 2, nothing's changed. That's takes us to the lap 3 where mostly nothing changed in the position. But earlier...

Mademoiselle: "I'm gonna charge this boy!"

Mademoiselle charged forward and tailgated Garth's car after turn 4 on lap 2.

And that's takes us to the final straight dogfight. Mademoiselle charged forward and tried to overtake Garth. But...

It didn't work. Mademoiselle ended up spinning and cannot continue. Garth wins the race by a tight advantage!

Zen: "Good job!"
Garth: "I told you so! I can beat that principal."
Jack: "Wow. That's tight..."
Lisa: "No. That's so dangerous."
Mademoiselle: (out from her car) "Dang! No one can beat my S30Z like this!"
Garth: "My name is Garth! I've showed you that the innocent guy like me deserve to win!"
Mademoiselle: "You're not deserve it! Get off from my sight!" (run away)
Garth: "I'm glad that this is over..."
Zen: "Thanks for a ride, Garth."
Garth: "No problem. Now because I won the race, let's take your car to the repair shop!"
Zen: "Alright!"
Lisa & Jack: "Impressive."

Not far away from where Garth finished the race, Gemma Mitche, his aggressive sister walk by and finding Garth. She expect him to home soon but she really get mad when...

Gemma: "Where the hell is Garth? This is 10 PM already! He needs to go to..."
(Mademoiselle's car is passing her. She thought that Garth raced Mademoiselle's car.)
Gemma: "To sleep. Shoot, he must be doing that again!" (running)

At the road to the repair shop

Jack: "Great for us to be taken to the repair shop."
Lisa: "As you know, repair shop is the motor vehicle's hospital."
Jack: "Ha ha ha, you really joking. It is a hospital for a motor vehicles."
Lisa: "Well, it's really true."
Jack & Lisa: "Ha ha ha ha..."
Zen: "Wow, I never thought that my parent can be this funny..."
Garth: "Me too. I wish someone's waiting until I get home."
Zen: "That's true."
Gemma: (appears somewhere) "Garth, what are you doing in this late night?"
(Lisa, Jack, Zen, and Garth surprised)

Gemma Mitche will unleash her temper tantrum. What will become of Garth? And of course, will Zen's GT-R (R34) gonna be fixed? Find out next episode!

On the way home, 21:00

Last episode, Garth and Zen won the race against Mademoiselle's Fairlady 240Z. As they go to the repair shop to repair Zen's R34 that Garth, Jack, Lisa and Zen pull this car together. Suddenly, something stop them.

Gemma: (appears somewhere) "Garth, what are you doing in this late night?"
(Lisa, Jack, Zen, and Garth surprised)
Gemma: "What kind of guy you are? You're so ignorant!"
Garth: "Gemma, I told you I will go home tonight."
Gemma: "I know but you're too darn ignorant! I saw a S30Z passing me with a high speed and I thought it was Mademoiselle!"
Zen: "How do you know?"
Gemma: "Shut up you guys! You're just a waste!" (Gemma puts off her shoes and throw towards Garth and friends.)
Jack & Lisa: "Run!!!"
(Jack, Lisa, Garth and Zen run away with leaving the R34 behind while Gemma chases them. After arriving at the repair shop...)
Zen: "Huh... I'm so breathless."
Jack: "Me too..."
Lisa: "I think that Gemma is so violently aggressive."
Jack: "Zen, don't close to her."
Gemma: "I'm gonna kill you!!!"
Jack: "Zen, Lisa. Crouch down!!!"
(Zen, Lisa, and Jack crouch down)
Zen: "Wait, Gemma doesn't run towards us."
Lisa: "How do you know?"
Zen: "Over there!"
Jack: "Stay back. It's no use to intefere with them."
Zen: "How about Garth?"
Jack"???"

Garth ran through the door but Gemma caught him at last.

Gemma: "Garth, where the hell you've been going late night, eh? I'll have to think of a suitable punishment!"
Garth: "Okay!"

Meanwhile, Nicole, Gemma's little sister is approaching right behind Gemma

Nicole: (walking) "What the hell is this thing?"
Gemma: "By the way Zen, I would be happy if you left sometime soon. I'm tired of your family living next door."
Nicole: "But we are not living next door with Zen..."
Gemma: "We've loaned your father a loan of money. It may have been thousand dollars or more!"
Nicole: "Please, tell me what's going on!"
Gemma: "Well, I guess it really could have been less. But because of the loan, my family and I now live in poverty!"
Nicole: (shouts) "GEMMAAAA!!! What the hell you doing right there?"
Gemma: "You're lurking around Nicole. Why don't you get out?"
Nicole: (walking with anger) "Please stop this artifact..."

Nicole was leaving Gemma with anger and she doesn't like that.

Gemma: "Sorry, my little sister Nicole is much too lenient with Garth. Oh well, nice guys finish last. That's the story of our life. Any last words, Garth?"
Zen: "Who do you talking at?"
Garth: "Umm... I think it is..."
Gemma: "...AYAAAEEE! I think you are a dung beetle Garth! I'll smash your guts out!"

*SMAAASSSH!!!* (Gemma punched Garth really hard. And then, Garth was hurted)

Garth: "Aaargh... *cough* I was... much weaker than I thought... So you must now begin your adventure... see... you..."
Zen: (run into Garth) "Garth! No."
Garth: "Oh Zen, I just remembered... Listen to my words..."
Zen: "What is that?"
Garth: "To be Japanarta's greatest racer, your own skill must unite with your car... your car and your skills will then channel together and multiply it... There are 10 major points you must visit. Make these places your own... Each of this locations are "Ndesoland's Finest." One of them is located on Coreland. It is called "Termina Harbor."
Zen: "T-Termina Harbor?"
Garth: "Yes. But, you have to go to the "Drift Academy" first and find your car before you go there. So, Go to the used car lot first... Do you understand?"
Zen: "I'm really sad to say goodbye to my R34, but I will. YES I AM!"

After they arrived home, Zen, Lisa and Jack feeling dissapointed. They are talking in the living room, and do you want to know why these three dissapointed? Zen's R34 couldn't repaired because Gemma slaps Garth.

Zen: "My R34... If Gemma don't disturb him my R34 will be fixed."
Jack: "It's okay Zen, you still have to drive another car."
Zen: "Garth's right, I should have a new car to drive."
Jack: "That means you have to start again from zero, right?"
Zen: "Yes."
Lisa: "Zen. I know you want to start from beginning again, but are you sure to do this?"
Zen: "Why?"
Lisa: "You have been racing for the Japanarta GP, and you need to drive another car."
Zen: "I need to gain my experience of racing..."
Lisa: "Don't worry, Mothers understand these things. Eat some omelettes, drink milk, and scoot off to bed. Tomorrow, we will discuss this thing."
Zen: "Alright." (leaving the room and go to the dining room to eat some eggs and drink a glass of milk)
Jack: "Lisa, I know it's tough for him to not drive the GT-R anymore, but maybe we should find him a great car."
Lisa: "I'm really afraid of Zen can't drive his favorite car. Even if that is a turbo-powered 6-speed GT-R."

The next morning, Zen got up from his bed upstairs. Mom called him when he get up. Zen go downstairs and meet his Mom to discuss what car will he drive.

Lisa: "Good morning Zen, how are you?"
Zen: "I'm really fine."
Lisa: "I'm relaxed hearing that. Anyway, Dad and I will decide which new car you will drive by showing you the pictures of the car."
Zen: "Okay."
Lisa: "Now let's go to the living room, shall we?"

Zen and Lisa meet Jack, Zen's Dad in the living room to have Zen choose his favorite car.

Jack: "Morning Zen, sit down here and I'll show you something."
*Zen and Lisa sit down on the sofa*
Jack: "Mom and I have decided which car you will drive on your next journey. And I thought it's a good idea to pay a visit to the used car lot."
Zen: "Hmm... Interesting."
Jack: "Let's go there, shall we?"
Lisa: (whispers to Jack) "Jack, you said that you will..."
Jack: (whispers to Lisa) "Shh.. There's a nearby junkyard, or a car lot I should say there is many anime cars."
Lisa: (whispers to Jack) "Like what?"
Jack: (whispers to Lisa) "You just have to see it."
Zen: "Dad hurry up!"
Jack: "Okay! Here we go!"

Zen and Jack were arrived in the used car lot. The used car lot sells used cars which are featured on anime like Initial D such as Toyota Eighty-Six cars, Honda Civics, and plenty more.

Jack: "What do you think?"
Zen: "Awesome..."
Jack: "Well, you should check by yourself. If you found your favorite, just call me."
Zen: "Alright!"

Zen checked the Toyota section, and when he saw a Sprinter Trueno, his minds thinks of an anime character who drive this car.

Zen: "So awesome..."
Jack: "Zen. Zen?" (he sees Zen staring to the AE86 Trueno) "Zen??"
Zen: "Dad, I found this car."
Jack: "What? An AE86?"
Zen: "I want this car..."
Jack: "Are you sure? This car is a 1985 model, FR drivetrain, 133 HP of power*, natural aspiration, and... Are you really sure?"

Zen: "But if this car were driven by a skillful driver, this will be the matching car."
Jack: "Umm... Okay."

Suddenly, a car dealer appears

Car Dealer: "Hey there! Welcome to my used car shop. You can found many cars here."
Zen: "I wanna ask about this AE86. Anyone bought this car yet?"
Car Dealer: "The Eighty-Six? Well, no one bought this car yet. The last time I saw this car bought is 4 years ago when 2 Canadian twins who are both girls came here and bought two AE86s. One is the yellow Trueno, and the other one is the red Levin."
Zen: "Long story, eh?"
Jack: "And there are Eighty-Six versions?"
Car Dealer: "Correct! And this car became an anime icon. Sadly no costumers come to this car shop recently, but thanks for you to bring my confidence again."
Zen: "You welcome."
Car Dealer: "So for this car, I offer about $4250. How's that?"
Jack: "I have $5500 so I can save $1250. I'll take it!"
Zen: "Yes!"
Car Dealer: "Take care of this car! Who knows that this car will be the dominant face of Wonkndeso Racing Scene sometime."
Zen: "A Wonkndeso Racing Scene?"
Jack: "What's that?"
Car Dealer: "This is year 200x, and everyone are eager to race their cars on anywhere. Whatever the place, whatever the cars, and whatever their occupation. That's what Wonkndeso Racing Scene is all about, racing for themselves regardless of who they are."
Jack: "Do you mean that the racers are doing whatever they want?"
Car Dealer: "Exactly."
Jack: "Anyone can stop them running?"
Car Dealer: "Only that guy who can drive through the mentioned racing scene. And that guy is, Zen Kusanagi."
Jack: "Zen, it's you!"
Zen: "Really."
Car Dealer: "Yes, and you need to be the best! No matter whatever they say about you."
Jack: "See? It's a good start, isn't it?"
Zen: "Let's get it on! I'm eager for that race!"
Car Dealer: "Good luck! But do you know if the 8:00 is the time that you got to school today?"
Zen: "Darn! I forgot! See you again!" (rushed into the school)

Now Zen's story will be started and a new journey will be unleashed. Can he drive through the grueling Wonkndeso Racing Scene?

Still in the used car lot, the Car Dealer revealed that the somewhat called Wonkndeso Racing Scene is where people nowadays are eager to race their cars on anywhere. Whatever the place, whatever the cars, and whatever their occupation. Even if that involving shopping malls, recreation places, and some unbelieveable and "foulest" places on a normal racing scene. Now Jack Kusanagi, Zen's father says goodbye. Before that, he told Zen something...

Jack: "Zen."
Zen: "What?"
Jack: "I'm gonna leaving your home. Make sure you and your mom fine. To keep an eye of your journey, please give me your dear 'ol dad a call. I'll keep your record and I will deposit money as your progress. Defeating tougher racers means more money come to your ATM account. I will give you this ATM card."
Zen: "Wow! Thanks dad."
Jack: "No problem. This ATM card is useful for withdraw money from nearby ATMs, and it's useful when you are run out from money and want some to buy anything you wish."
Zen: "Interesting... But I want to explain that I'm already grown up but why I should still *** by parents?"
Jack: "It's to make sure that you're fine. And to make sure that racers or heroes also feel homesick. Be careful about being homesick."
Zen: "Okay."
Jack: "Okay now, time to go. Don't forget to give me a call when you need!"
Zen: "Bye!"

With Zen's father leaving Zen's home for working, Zen starts his new journey. Now he must go to the Fujiwara High, the high school where nothing's special. Just a plain high school...

Teacher: "Hello! My name is George Walter, the teacher of the Mathematics. I might not as smart as you but at least I hoping that all the great students here are have the hope to pass the exam with good scores! Now let's move on to what we will study today!"

Welcome to the Fujiwara High School! A High school located in the Fujiwara Village. Here you'll find some wide roads and paths that are possible to be a racing spot here. Before we get on to the climax a.k.a Zen's first race, let's see what will Teacher give in today's Math.

Teacher: "Let's study mix maths!"
Students: "Uhh..."
Zen: "Circles. I'm not good at this..."
Teacher: "Don't be discouraged. Let's learn the basics of mix maths..."

Moments later...

Teacher: "Alright! Let's move on to the homework today because our class is almost over yet. The homework is to finish 15 questions about mix maths. Hope you finish it in no time because I know you are so smart. But don't be lazy."

After the teacher gave the homework paper to all the students, they are going home. Night time, Zen was trying to complete his homework. But suddenly, Zen felt strange thinking about the book about racing when he tries to do question #12.

Zen: "Darn, I felt strange. What the heck is going on with my head? I thought it's better to check a book about racing."
(Zen is walking through the used things box, it's a huge cardboard box that contains some of Zen's old thing before he is this old now)
Zen: (Reading a book) "Hmm... The book said that if the car is heading to the sharp turn, you have to do a drifting thing. Which is a technique that requires you to hit the brake, shift gear down, and steer as hard as you can. The key here is a good timing. I guess I'll start this thing after I complete those homework."
Lisa: "Zen? What are you doing?"
Zen: "Just doing some homework."
Lisa: "Oh, if you finished those homeworks, go downstairs. Because I have made a dinner for you. I can't let you doing your homework with an empty stomach so come on."
Zen: "Cool."

When he sleeping, he had a dream about drifting with his Sprinter Trueno. The next day, he overslept.

Zen: "AAAAGGGHHH!!! I overslept! Got to hurry!!!" (rushed into his bathroom...)
(Moments after he took a shower)
Lisa: "Zen, you overslept?"
Zen: "Yes."
Lisa: "I know. Don't say that you have a dream about your car."
Zen: "How do you know?"
Lisa: "You are eager to racing right? Well, maybe you should find a racing place somewhere..."
Zen: "I know but I got to hurry!"
Lisa: "How about the breakfast?"
Zen: "I'll take this!" (take his breakfast outside and rushing outside)
Lisa: "Phew. Hope someone's give Zen a racing spot information."

And when he arrived in school, he realizes that he brought his Math Homework. He entered the classroom just before the teacher is there.

Zen: "Good morning, teacher!"
Teacher: "Wow! Don't be rushed, I'm really surprised with that."
Zen: "Sorry I'm overslept." (enter the classroom)
Teacher: "But you arrive before me. That's a new record. No overslept student that coming as early like others..." (enter the classroom after Zen)
(When the Teacher entered the classroom)
Teacher: "Good morning students!"
Students: "Good morning Teacher."
Teacher: "Well, first of all, I saluted that Zen Kusanagi made a new record."
Shark: "What record? Tell to me!"
Teacher: "Zen Kusanagi overslept."
Shark: "Ha ha ha ha..."
Teacher: "But he not late. He is the first student in Fujiwara High to be a not-late overslept student."
Shark: "But whatever it is, he is overslept!"
Shark's friends: "Ha ha ha haa..."
Danielle: "But you did go late at the school!"
Marty: "Yes! And you were overslept!"
Danielle: "How's that?"
Hiroshi: "Will all of you stop this thing already? You all just make problems here."
Teacher: "Okay, okay. Now let's have your homework!"
(All the students gave their math homework to the Teacher)
Teacher: "Alright students! Today I have a revelation about today's homework. I thought that Zen Kusanagi and Danielle Cromwell are the 2 students that have the highest scores!"
(All students clap their hands except for Shark)
Danielle: (stares at Zen) "How? We're same score, right?"
Zen: "Yeah..."
Shark: "Hah, that's not necessary!"
Danielle: "You think so? I think me and my friend's brain were bigger than yours!"

The bell that signs that the first break has ringed. All students are having a break. But suddenly, Zen is being knocked by Shark and Bully, Shark's close friend.

Shark: (beating Zen) "Hey! You cannot pass our math scores!"
Bully: "That's right! You are not deserved to have that crap."
Shark: "Think twice, frat boy! You're so powerless!"
Bully: "Hah. You can't counter-attack him!"
Danielle: "Really? I don't think that the thing that you said earlier should not be say!"
Bully: "Why?"
(Danielle threw a shoe and hits Bully's face)
Bully: "Aaagh!" (fell down)
Shark: "What the hell you done to my friend?"
Danielle: "Can you please respect someone who had a greater score than you? Why don't you use your brains and start studying!"
Shark: "Alright! Now let's have this thing finish! To truly finish this thing, you must race in the Fujiwara Village!"
Zen: "What? Me?"
Danielle: "Zen..."
Shark: "If you win, I'll stop my bully to you. If you lose, the knock-off continues!"
Zen: "Hmm... I guess I will take you down!"
Shark: "Don't forget that!" (leaving)
Bully: "Shark, wait for me!"
Danielle: "Zen, why you accept this thing?"
Zen: "To be honest, I am the racer who..."
Danielle: "What? Just be honest to me."
Zen: "Who wants to race! Yeah."
Danielle: "Well, Shark have a junk-looking Nissan Micra AK11. It got 110 horsepower, but thanks to that car being tuned, that car becomes 30hp stronger."
Zen: "How do you know?"
Danielle: "The junk car shop. There might be a "tuned" car you can found there."
Zen: "Thanks for noticing."
Danielle: "No problem."

Fujiwara Village, 20:00

Later night, Shark came with Bully to challenge Zen in a race located on the Fujiwara Village. Zen has Sprinter Trueno while Shark has Nissan March AK11.

Bully: "Okay, all of you ready?"
Zen: "Ready!"
Shark: "Get ready to lose!"
Zen: "I won't."
Bully: "3.. 2.. 1.. GO!!!"



1st: Shark (+3m)
2nd: Zen

And the race is go! Shark is in the lead thanks to his holeshot. Zen tries to overtake Shark from the inside line but he did't.



Shark: "Bring it on!"

Until the S-turn, Zen pushed hard. Shark overcome the turn very easily but Zen collided Shark's car.



Shark: "Gah! You really make me mad!"

Here's what happen in the next turns.

2nd: Shark

Shark became intimidated.

Shark: "Darn you Zen! I'll race you off!"

Shark: "Aaayaaeee!!!"
Zen: "Though I'm in the first place, I must get on."
Bully: "Shark, it is final lap already. Come on!"

It's final lap now, now the race is getting more intense. We will not cover the illustration because there's no significant change, not until the next following turn.

Shark: "Curses! Curses! Curses!!!"

Shark intimidated and became aggressive so he took a shortcut to the finish line. However, the shortcut makes Bully ran away because Shark's car is heading to his way.




Bully: (run away from Shark) "No!!!"

Finish! Zen is the winner of this race!

Zen: "Alright!"
Shark: "Curses!"

After the race...

Shark: "You done a good job. I shouldn't underestimate you."
Zen: "It's okay."
Shark: "As you promised, me and Bully will not to bully you again."
Bully: "Yeah. Beside, we need to relax a bit and stop bullying people."
Shark: "And I guess you have to change your name!"
Bully: "Alright, as you say."
Shark: "So, we might meet again, but I'll tell you something. Someday, I will organize a tournament where all best drivers from Fujiwara Village gather!"
Zen: "Okay then."
Shark: "See you next time, Zen!"
Zen: "Bye!"

After Shark and Bully left Zen, Zen goes to his home. And his home is NOT FAR FROM THE START/FINISH LINE OF THE FUJIWARA VILLAGE TRACK!!! That's make sense if his mother sees it.

Lisa: "Your driving is really good. You kick that punk's butt with your great driving skill, and you might be tired, aren't you?"
Zen: "Yeah, It was a great race. I'm glad that I won a race after failing in the real GP."
Lisa: "It's okay, Now eat your dinner. I made a best omelette and a milk to make you relax. After this..."
Zen: "Scoot of to bed."
Lisa: "H-how do you know?"
Zen: "I'm getting grow up now, but I should show myself as a great racer in this neighborhood."
Lisa: "Oh, okay. Great to see you have a good dicipline!."
Zen: "Thank you."
Lisa: "You welcome."

At the other place late night, there comes a lady that is actually Zen's classmate in Fujiwara High. Don't you know her name mentioned because of her good mark on her math homework? Yes, now she's on the phone conversation...

Danielle: "Now I'm serious, I will put Zen to the max!"
??????: "I think it's better to get him to the Drift Academy."
Danielle: "That racing school? Well, I should consider it."
??????: "You don't have to consider yourself. I will borrow you my friend's Subaru Vivio RX-R. It may a Kei compact car but I've set it to make this car drift in turns."
Danielle: "Thanks a lot. But how to send the DA brochures?"
??????: "Mailman."
Danielle: "Mailman?"
??????: "He might don't work late night, but I believe that he always come every morning."
Danielle: "Okay, I better tell him."
??????: "That's a really good..." (suddenly stops) *beep...* *beep...*
Danielle: "Curses! I forgot to recharge my phone battery. Oh well, I got to give this by myself..."

Now Danielle will give Zen a brochure to Drift Academy. Now the problems are, who is the mysterious girl that have 6 question marks (that means her name not revealed yet)? What will become of Zen? And what is Drift Academy? Find out on the next episode!

Danielle: "Phew, I got up earlier than I thought. I must be have a hard headache." (off from her bed)

We are know that Danielle's life were the same as the others, but she's used to it and wants to be a good racer. Now Danielle is already outside, to go to the Fuijwara High of course.

Danielle: "Darn, I hope this thing successful. A racing school named Drift Academy whose not far from Fujiwara High? What a great thing."

And now heading to Zen's home where he also go to the Fujiwara High, the same time as Danielle go outside to go to the high school.

Zen: "Weird, I have a bad feeling about this. I don't know, if it's from Shark or not. But I'm gotta continue anyway, there's no use to think about nightmares and blah blah blahs."

And so the activities on the school is just good as usual. Not until the first break of the school, something's happen. It's Shark! But he'll not bullying Zen this time, he tells Zen something.

Shark: "Hey Zen!"
Zen: "Oh, Shark. How are you?"
Shark: "Really fine, just planning my new championship."
Zen: "A championship?"
Shark: "Yeah, but I don't want to screw this thing so this thing should be private. Anyway, Can I tell you something?"
Zen: "Of course you can."
Shark: "Alright, so this is the rumor that I got from my sidekick Bully. He said that he knew a girl named Joanie Danderson."
Zen: "Who's Joanie Danderson?"
Shark: "He told me that she is a daughter of Andrew Danderson, the lawyer."
Zen: "What does Bully said?"
Shark: "Don't know, but Joanie told Bully that she lended her Subaru Vivio RX-R to someone that Bully cannot tell you who is the name of that girl."
Zen: "Then how that car look alike?"
Shark: "Just a plain Kei car, Japanese lightweight and light-powered just as your car."

Zen: "Really interesting."

Danielle: "Well, Zen deserved for this."

Shark: "Umm... Do you know anything about Joanie Danderson?"
Danielle: "Yes, Why?"

Zen: "Yes, but I'm starting to feel strange that they have the techniques that my book don't have." (walking through the stairs to his room)

What a fast forward! Now we are on the weekend condition where the school is always off at Sundays. Zen is ready to take on the Drift Academy! But her mother told Zen something...

Lisa: "Zen, I have a good news and a bad news."
Zen: "What is it?"
Lisa: "The good news is... You can go there."
Zen: "I know that. What about the bad news?"
Lisa: "The bad news is... Umm..."
(Lisa trying to hide that late night spy thingy from Zen)

And here it is! The Drift Academy, the place where the ordinary people wants to be a great racers. They will teach the techniques of racing and will have a shot of fame. Zen is coming, but he is 5 minutes late!

Zen: "Hello! The great driver candidate is here!"
??????: "Great driver candidate, eh?"
Zen: "What's wrong?"
??????: "I'm sorry to tell you that you were five minutes late!"

Zen: "Subtracted?"

??????: "Correct! Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Kojiro Kuroyanagi, the owner of Drift Academy, Fujiwara Branch. And for all of you, I'm wishing the good results."
All candidates: "Yes sir!"

Kojiro: "Attention to all the candidates, you must take your positions for the first basic technique! And for you Zen, don't make me subract your points again."

Drift Academy, 13:00

Kojiro: "Alright! The first task is a basic cornering! You can do any type of cornering whether it's a drift or not but you have to come no worse than 20 seconds! If you do, then I will subtract your score 1 for each 5 second passed. Do you understand?"
All candidates: "Yes sir."



Kojiro: "Okay. First one is you, the one who drive a red Suzuki Cappucino."
Marty: "Me?"
Kojiro: "Yes, you."
Marty: "Okay, I will do this."

Marty will do the first task, he take the position, and he is GO!!!

Marty: "Here I go!"

Marty quickly turn to the 3rd gear and overcome the corner by gripping.

Kojiro: "Marty has a great acceleration, he is sure can take the corner faster than anyone."

Marty finished with a time of 14 seconds.

Kojiro: "Alright, next one please!"

Hiroshi: "I'll go."

Hiroshi starts is engine and he is GO!!! Hiroshi aims for his high speed and take the corner by drifting.

Kojiro: "I never saw a Kei car drifting like this, This is a different car than others."

Kojiro finished with a time of 13,5 seconds.

Kojiro: "And who's next?"

Other people attempted this challenge, but no one can do better than those two. There are about 30 candidates in this competition and 8 were eliminated after doing bad. Danielle completed with a time of 17 seconds. Her car Vivio RX-R makes Zen thinking about Shark's quote:

"That RX-R is on 165 horse power. All that Natural-to-Turbo Aspiration tuning and some craps is what makes Bully sleep talking."

Zen: "Shark's right, but there's no way that someone's lended her car to Danielle's."
Kojiro: "Zen, are you ready?"
Zen: "I'm ready!"
Kojiro: "Are you ready? GO!!!"

Zen dash his car to the max. This thing is what makes he always think about Shark's words about Danielle's RX-R. What will become of this competition? Is it true that Joanie lent her car to Danielle? Find out in the next episode!

In the previous episode, Zen got a turn to start his engines and aim for the target time 20 seconds and 13,5 is being the fastest. How many seconds will Zen get from the first test? Will he succeed, or fail?

Kojiro: "Zen, are you ready?"
Zen: "I'm ready!"
Kojiro: "Are you ready? GO!!!"

Zen push his car to the max. He's about to doing the drift on the turn but... His car was unstable.

Kojiro: "Dang this kid! This guy doesn't even know how to drift."

But there's a miracle behind that unstable thing...

Kojiro: "What the..."
Zen: "Here it goes! The super sliding drift attempted by professionals!"
Hiroshi: "Professionals? Don't be kidding!"

Zen's car drift steadily and ended up spinning in the another direction after the finish. His time is 15 seconds.

After the first test was done, Kojiro tells something about the next test that will held tomorrow.

Kojiro: "Guys! There are 22 of you who did the best. However for tomorrow's test, I will cut down to 10! Listen up, the second test will be a Gymkhana course. This Gymkhana course will be tougher than today! The first section is the slalom and the second section is the pylon course. Do you get it?"
All students: "Yes sir!"
Kojiro: "Great. Now get back home and plan your strategy for the next day's test."

Zen wants to go home, but Marty interrupted him.

Marty: "Hey there, your name is Zen Kusanagi, isn't it?"
Zen: "Yes."
Marty: "Well, maybe you're slower than I but your drift makes me ended up surprised!"
Zen: "Really?"
Marty: "I speak the truth. Listen up Zen, I was suspicious about Danielle."
Zen: "You mean that girl who drives a Vivio RX-R?"
Marty: "Correct, she seems to be syndicated with the lawyer's daughter."
Zen: "You mean Joanie Danderson?"
Marty: "Hey, how do you know? You can't steal that from me!"
Zen: "Shark told me about that."
Marty: "What a crap! I'm really watching at you, I will because I know you are also part of Danielle!" (leaving)
Zen: "But I'm not."

Marty isn't fully understand about this condition. Zen isn't a part of Danielle, if yes, then his name become Zen Cromwell. But what can we think about this intriguing condition? What is this mystery is all about?

Meanwhile at Marty's house....

Marty: "Wait, his name is Zen Kusanagi, right? I think he isn't relating to Danielle. But I believe he's one guild with Danielle. No! Danielle's home is far from Zen's home. Communication? No, Zen didn't have Danielle's phone number. That means I misunderstanding something..."

The next day, the racers is about to face the second task. The second task is drifting through the S and the slalom turn. First they have to cross through the S and then encounter a turn which has 2 barriers before the "real" turn:



But suddenly...

Kojiro: "Jin, Kerry, and Kuro. You are all OUT for being late!"
Jin: "“Oh no!"
Kerry: "I forgot the alarm!"
Kuro: "Daaaaaaaarn!!!!"
Kojiro: "There are 19 of you left. After this test, there will be 9 drivers that will be eliminated!"
Zen: "What?!"
Danielle: "The rules has changed?"
Hiroshi: "Hm..."
Marty: "Who changed the rules?"
Kojiro: "Because I want to make this test is so intense! Regardless, let's ROLL!"
All students: "Yes sir!"

The first one will go is Hiroshi, whose set the fastest time on the first test.

Hiroshi: "I will succeed... Don't underestimate me!"

Hiroshi has started! He come to the first S turn and he overcome it just like a slalom!

Marty: "Phew! Heck that!"
Danielle: "It seems to be the best driving that a Hiroshi has done before."

Hiroshi approached the slalom and he done the feint drift!

Kojiro: "Incredible..."

Marty is about to prepare, and he's go! He come to the first S turn and taking it like a straight line. But he brakes hard and grip at the barrier turn.

Marty: "Crap! That's almost!"
Hiroshi: "Huh."
Kojiro: "Marty, you passed it by 21,3 seconds. Little bit too slow there."
Danielle: "My turn."
Hiroshi: "Okay."

Danielle take the turn and she launched her car with style! Tire smoke at start, soft S turning, sliding at the barrier turn, and finished it with a faster time than Marty but slower than Hiroshi.

Kojiro: "20,5 seconds. Not bad."
Danielle: "I wish I can improve myself on."
Kojiro: "Zen, your turn!"
Zen: "Okay."

Zen is about to start his engines and prepare to launch his car. Can he faster than others?

Zen: "It's show time!"
Kojiro: "And kick IT!"

Zen launches, but he quite slow on the launch, to the S, little bit oversteer but can pass through. Into the barrier turn, accidentally Feint Drifting!

Hiroshi: "What the?"
Kojiro: "Feint Drift?"
Hiroshi: "No way he can copy me!"
Zen: "Woow, I lose control on my car!"

Zen slides but amazingly enough he reaches the finish line with the time of...

Kojiro: "21 seconds. 0,3 seconds faster than Marty, congratulations!"

Time for a crucial announcement. Which names that will advance to the final test?

Kojiro: "Alright, the moment of truth, I will reveal 9 names that will advance for the final test! If I did call your name, means you will advance to the last test! I will order it in the fastest time manner. The first name is, Hiroshi."
Hiroshi: "Great! Can't lose at the last phase!"
Kojiro: "Second name, Danielle!"
Danielle: "Nice!"
Kojiro: "Third name, Chris!"
Chris: "Alrighty!"
Kojiro: "Next name, Zen!"
Zen: "Alright!"
Kojiro: "Next name is, Chelsea!"
Chelsea: "No way!"
Kojiro: "Next name, Mikka!"
Mikka: "Ah, great!"
Kojiro: "Nate, you're advanced!"
Nate: "Get off the chain, you're must be joking!"

Now the second test is over. Because the next test will involving 10 drivers, time attack on a full course. They have to give they best.

An hour later, the full course test started and the rules only one: Only one lap. Four best times will advance to the final test.




Some of them did well.




But some of them are just eh.


Nate: "Aww, dang!"

Marty: "Crack!"

There's also the one who goes slow but sure.




But how about our hero, Zen?



Great start from him, wonder what will he do in the next turns...



From the Office yard section, he drifts away the turn. Next crucial turn, he still drifts! And drifts for the turns ahead!



Seems he doesn't drift there....



Final section to go, and he finally drifts at the final turn and he crossed the line!

It's the moment they're waiting for, the four people that will advance to the next round. Can you know which four of the nine finalists will pass?

Kojiro: "First off all, I have to say congratulations to all of you for making this far. You guys have done a great display of racing tehcniques you should have for the grueling Wonkndeso racing scene. I will call the first place.

Kojiro: "First, with the time of 1 minute and 9,6 seconds is Hiroshi Yoshihara. Congratulations!"
Hiroshi: "I knew it, I'm the best!"
Marty: "Dang."
Kojiro: "Second place, with the time of 1 minute and 10,2 seconds is Danielle Cromwell. Great job!"
Danielle: "Wow, I'm excited."
Kojiro: "Third place, with 1 minute and 11 seconds is Zen Kusanagi. Well done boy, you stepped up every phase."
Zen: "Yes! I almost made it."
Marty: "I'm dead!"
Kojiro: "Last is the driver with a time of 1 minute and 13,7 seconds, a gap of 0,1 seconds ahead the 5th place is...."
Marty: "Please be me!"
Kojiro: "Marty Walker."
Marty: "Oh great!"
Kojiro: "Congrats boy, you've done a good job, but it should be better."
Marty: "Okay Kojiro."
Kojiro: "Unfortunately you guys can't be the 4 finalists as them. But, I can only say one word -- 'Don't give up', because you might be a part of Wonkndeso racing scene in future."

With the four drivers are up for the finale, the competition to get the title of "The D.A Master of Fujiwara Region" will get fiercer. Can't we have any more fiercer than this? Find out next episode!

The closed night finale of Drift Academy Best Drivers' Test 2007 will be held 6 hours to go. Every contestant has their own way to spend 6 hours for some rest. Marty talks with Zen about his apologizes for accusing Zen being a part of Danielle.

Marty: "Zen, sorry if I did the thing that happened to you yesterday, I was just..."
Zen: "It's okay. I don't think I am a part of Danielle either."
Marty: "Well, I didn't noticed that you're just a normal racers who don't have team, the same like me."
Zen: "Well, I don't think we should form a team first."
Marty: "Who wants to form a team, dummy? I said we are normal racers that doesn't have any team. Well, I'm thinking the thing that I should consider last night."
Zen: "You mean about me?"
Marty: "Yep, I am thinking with my deep logic. What I've think about that you don't have Danielle's number, am I right?"
Zen: "Danielle doesn't ask me my number, so I didn't relate anything to her."
Marty: "Well, it's okay. But at least, if I got time can I go to your home somewhere in Central street?"
Zen: "You can. There's even a big gravel soccer stadium in there."
Marty: "Ah, I wanna try some doughnut turns there."
Zen: "What is that?"
Marty: "You spin your steering wheel until you've turned it in one direction at full spin. If you make some skidmarks there, then that's doughnut turn."
Zen: "Ah, I see. So the point is turning 360 degrees with our car?"
Marty: "Yep, you got it bro."
Zen: "Okay."
Marty: "Ah, and I heard you defeated Shark."
Zen: "Why's that?"
Marty: "You're lucky."
Zen: "Why?"
Marty: "Here... Couple of days ago, I also got beaten by Shark. He thought that I am a rick person. I just drive my Cappucino. Hiroshi had Honda Beat and Danielle had RX-R. While you drive that Eighty-Six."

Marty: "Not full stop yet. I defeated the same Eighty-Six like you but in Saint Caris English Course, it is on Iketani Street area. Twins drove it."
Zen: "Twins?"
Marty: "No, no. The one drove Sprinter Trueno and the other drove Corolla Levin. I forgot their names but they're twins as I said."
Zen: "A Trueno and a Levin?
Marty: "Indeed. However, don't make your spirit going down because of this. Despite you drive Eighty-six and mine's Cappucino, we have the same potential of being the best low-powered cars!"
Zen: "You're right!"
Marty: "So what we can do now with 5 hours left?"
Zen: "Don't know..."

Suddenly Hiroshi passed Zen and Marty whose talking each other

Hiroshi: "Are you Zen Kusanagi?"
Zen: "What?"

Zen ended up in shock and so does Marty

Hiroshi: "I heard you defeated Shark's Nissan Micra, Am I right?"
Zen: "Y-yes!"
Hiroshi: "Hmm... That was good, but keep in mind, I'm much more stronger than you!"
Zen: "Why?"
Marty: "Yes, why?"
Hiroshi: "Remember this, Drift Academy is not a joke! It's a serious thing."
Zen: "Serious thing?"
Hiroshi: "I remember that I've failed last year, and I polished my skills on gravel tracks. Actually, this is a test that push our skills."
Zen: "Failed?"
Hiroshi: "That a St.Caris student who drove Trueno 86 leads me to my failure."
Zen: "Wait, are you referring to what Marty just said to me?"
Marty: "Huh?"
Hiroshi: "Marty told you about them?"
Marty: "Yes, their cars are, umm... What is it Zen?"
Zen: "A Trueno and a Levin."
Marty: "Yes, and they're twins."
Hiroshi: "But I only lost to Trueno, not the Levin one."

Marty is scared seeing Zen being consistent to beat Hiroshi. Minutes later, there's something unusual with Danielle. Danielle wants to fix her hair but she can't go out. That means she have to call a man from Fujiwara salon. Moments later...

Christian: "Hi, I'm Christian and I'm your hairstylist for today."
Danielle: "Thank you, I called you minutes ago, I can't go out."
Christian: "Don't worry, I'm a mobile hairstylist so I can help you fix your hair."
Danielle: "Thank you!"

Moments later....

Christian: "There you have it, your newly-fixed hair!"
Danielle: "Wow, thank you! What I should do to thank you back?"
Christian: "Nothing much, just look yourself on a mirror once again."
*Christian's wristwatch rings*
Christian: "Oh snap! I have to get back on a salon quickly! Bye!" (while rushing)

At the other place, Christian is rushing and slightly pass Hiroshi

Christian: "Sorry, I am in hurry!" (running)
Hiroshi: "Who the heck is that?"

There's 4 hours remaining... Kojiro told something to Zen and Marty.

Kojiro: "Zen, Marty?"
Zen: "Kojiro?"
Marty: "What are you doing here?"
Kojiro: "Nothing must, just pass on by. By the way, Danielle called a hairstylist and have a makeover, you wanna see it?"
Zen: "No thanks, later on."
Marty: "Wow, she fixed her hair?"
Kojiro: "Alright. You know, I hear lots of rumors regarding to the Eighty-Six."
Zen: "Eighty-Six?"
Kojiro: "Yes, and the twins who drove 2 Levins with different colors are the smartest St. Caris students. In addition, they're last year's students."
Marty: "Levins? Duh, Trueno and Levin looks similar to me..."
Zen: "Tell me who are they?
Kojiro: "They are Maria Eerves and Michelle Eerves, Canadian-born students.”
Zen & Marty: “Eerves?”
Kojiro: "Yes, she is now making a St. Caris racing alliance. She's about to challenge Chastesburg's top drivers.”
Marty: "The twins goes to Chastesburg?"
Kojiro: "Yes, there's Drift Academy also in Chastesburg. There are at least 5 branches on Japanarta."
Zen: "Who leads D.A Chastesburg then?"
Kojiro: "Terajin Kawashita, coach slash tuner."
Zen: "Terajin? I know him."
Kojiro: “I knew him?”
Zen: “He tuned up Chastesburg's finest drivers' cars there.”
Kojiro: “Nice memory, how do you know?”
Zen: "My relatives are on Chastesburg."
Kojiro: "Oh, and one of your relatives is an owner of a telecommunication company, don't you?"
Zen: "Yes!"
Kojiro: "Alright now, if I have time I will go there tomorrow. But, remember the finale, okay?"

Marty: "I will!"
Kojiro: "Wish your luck!"

With Kojiro leaving, Hiroshi thinks what technique he can do for the finale, Danielle's new hair, and Marty and Zen knowing the Eerves twins, this story will be a winding turns of mysteries!

And this is the moment of truth, 4 drivers on one Drift Academy track! Who will win?



Hiroshi: "I will win..."
Danielle: "This race will be mine!"
Zen: "I have to win!"
Marty: "Dang, wish I can beat those guys in quick!"
Kojiro: "The race is the same route as in your last test. Only this time you will race for 3 laps! The winner will be coveted a title of 'D.A Fujiwara Master' Complete with D.A Fujiwara sticker. Alright, ARE YOU READY!?
All: "Yes!"
Kojiro: "I'm gonna start the countdown. Three, two, one.... GO!!!"

And the cars are go! Looks like Hiroshi got the holeshot start and he got a best possible advantage! However, Zen and Danielle charges forward while Marty had difficulties.


Hiroshi: 1st
Zen: 2nd
Danielle: 3rd
Marty: 4th

Hiroshi: "So long, losers!"
Marty: "Aww, crap!"

To the front yard left hander, Hiroshi, Zen and Danielle drifts through that corner. It seems that three of them done the best, except Marty who grips.

Marty: "Cracks!"


Hiroshi: 1st
Zen: 2nd
Danielle: 3rd
Marty: 4th

A left hander makes Marty regain his loss!


Hiroshi: 1st
Zen: 2nd
Danielle: 3rd
Marty: 4th

At that time, earlier before the other left hander, Zen passes Hiroshi and Marty passes Danielle!

But Marty bumps Hiroshi's back!

Hiroshi: "Hey!"
Marty: "Whoopsie! Sorry."
Hiroshi: "Huh, so do you think you do this to make me spin? Maybe not!"
Danielle: "Darn, need to retain my 3rd place there."
Zen: "I have to keep this up!"

Marty, Danielle and Hiroshi had an epic battle for the second!



Hiroshi: "Darn!"
Danielle: "No one can mess with me on the road!"
Marty: "Not this time around!"
Danielle: "Nice try, Marty. But you're no match for me!"

Hiroshi bumps Danielle and Marty tries to slow down Danielle! Meanwhile in the confusion, Zen leads!

Marty cannot grasp Zen's Eighty-Six power. But Hiroshi claims back his 3rd place!

Hiroshi: "Take that!"
Danielle: "That's just beginning, I'm gonna start acting now!"

Danielle: 3rd (PASS)
Marty: 4th

Hiroshi taken down Marty's car by bumping it, and now he bumps Zen. Danielle cuts inside line.

Marty: "Whoa!!!"
Hiroshi: "Hahahaha! Take that!"
Danielle: "You shouldn't do that!"
Hiroshi: "Who cares? I wanna take down you!"
Danielle: "Oh great."



Now Hiroshi is neck-to-neck with Zen! Now Hiroshi and Zen is battling for the first place!

Hiroshi: "Got you!"
Zen: "I'm not gonna give up!"
Hiroshi: "Can you pass me now?"

It's the FINAL LAP! Hiroshi tries to push Zen sideways but Zen tries to evade it! But...



Hiroshi regains his lead! But Danielle seems to pushing Hiroshi! While Marty is chasing her! This is what we call the brawl to the finish!

Hiroshi: "My chance!"
Danielle: "Not your chance!"
Marty: "I'm sick of this! Time to pull out my technique!"



Marty takes the inside line and came swinging to Danielle!

Marty: "Ha ha, how's that for you?"
Danielle: "Not too hard."
Marty: "What?"



Marty: "How's that?"
Hiroshi: "Ugh at you!"
Marty: "Huh."
Danielle: "You guys battle for yourself! I'll overtake you hard!"

And into the 2nd to last left hander the battle is the same but at the straight line...



Danielle: "I will win!"
Hiroshi: "I'll finish this!"
Zen: "I will win!"
Marty: "Take my 2nd place back!!!"

And the fight is still on until...



Danielle spins out while Zen and Hiroshi drifts! Zen wins the race!

Zen: "Thank you!"
Hiroshi: "Well, I might not beating another Eighty-Six now, but I passed other cars. Thanks for the racing struggle, Zen.”
Zen: "You're welcome."
Marty: "Zen, that was awesome! I'd like to learn the techniques from you!"
Zen: "Thank you."
Danielle: "Ah crap, I should be wary of my back."
Kojiro: "You've done best tonight, Danielle. You showed a really great technique pf racing."
Danielle: "Zen, maybe this time I lost but next time, I will be better!"
Zen: "Well. I'll be waiting!"
Danielle: "Hope you all enjoy!"

Danielle walks with disappointment, but still showed her smiles. Later on Marty and Hiroshi congratulates Zen for his winning. Now...

Two days after Zen's winning at Drift Academy, Marty wants to go to the Fujiwara Village to show to Zen his doughnut skills. Lisa, Zen's mother allows Marty to visit him. Meanwhile, Lisa wants to Zen's family meeting.

Marty: "Zen, do you want me to tell you a story?"
Zen: "Ah, continue on where you talk about Maria Eerves."
Marty: "Alright. Since Kojiro tell me, Maria drives Trueno and Michelle drives Levin. At that time, Maria challenges me on the Iketani Street Commercial, where St. Caris is placed at. She took me on a 3-laps race on a simple Figure 8-shaped track. When I almost reach the finish line, she overtakes me and I lost."
Zen: "Then what happened?"
Marty: "Nothing, but Maria is really annoying. You know why? When I play the land hockey, Maria cheated me and I want to take her back, but ended up being punished by my teacher."
Zen:"You shouldn't pushed yourself too hard."
Marty: "That's right, I didn't control my emotion there."
Zen: "Hey, why not we go racing?"
Marty: "Okay, but can you invite Shark?"
Zen: "I'll try."

Zen calls Shark via cellphone.

Zen: "Hello?"
Shark: "What's up, Zen?"
Zen: "Wanna race with my new friend?"
Shark: "Unfortunately I can't."
Zen: "Why?"
Shark: "I'm in a billiard place, playing with my friends. The place is just across from Drift Academy, maybe later."
Zen: "Okay."
*cellhpone closed*
Zen: "Looks like Shark play billiards again."
Marty: "Oh crap."
Zen: "But the place is just footsteps from D.A."
Marty: "I'm curious, I do play Billiards in Iketani Street Commercial but long time not play. Whatever, let's race, shall we?"
Zen: "Alright!"

Fujiwara Village - Football field, 15:00

Marty: "Ouch! I forgot to show you my new techniques!"
Zen: "Okay..."
Marty: "I'll show what is this car's ability has."
Zen: "Show it!"
Marty: "Let's step on it!"

Marty shows his skills of doing a 360-degree turn and braking, then he steer hard to left and step the gas pedal.

Marty: "That's a random technique!"
Zen: "It looks not random to me..."
Marty: "That's just the start though."

Marty did again a 360-degree turn and braking, but making his car spin out, then he recovers the spin by directing the car forward. That's what Marty capable of - Spin Recovery.

Marty: "That's it! I used this when I spun out when racing Maria."
Zen: "That's awesome."
Marty: "Only FR cars that can do that!”
Zen: "Nice."
Marty: "Nope, the FF drivetrain cars can do that."
Zen: "Any St. Caris people have that?"
Marty: "Don't know, but maybe. Should we start the race now?"
Zen: "Okay, let's race!"

7th February 2007
Fujiwara Village, 15:20

Marty: "You know, Shark's Nissan Micra is a FR drivetrain car. So I'm the same FR type you face, but better. Hehehe.”
Zen: "Yeah..."
Marty: "Alright, two laps racing, but I want to have this race in reverse."
Zen: "Reverse? Maybe we should have a route check first."
Marty: "Alright."

Moments later after the route check, the cars are ready to race the reversed version of Fujiwara Village which was the place where Zen defeated Shark before. In count of three, two, one, GO!!!



Marty zooms forward faster and take the holeshot! The cars emits the sparks once again as their tires were screeching by the time they zoom forward. But, Marty is in the lead now.

Marty: "Oh yeah! Catch me if you can!"
Zen: "There's no way I can lose!"



Marty = Lead
Zen = +0.5m

But Marty's lead didn't last long as Zen's Eighty-Six speeds up and take the inside line, but Marty on the outside line tries to zoom forward to increase his lead!

Marty: "Phew, you're much stronger than I thought!"
Zen: "It's just one of two laps."
Marty: "Two laps? Yeah, let's give this race two laps. I'm new here after all!"

So Marty is new to Fujiwara Village, but he seems to be familiar with Iketani St Commercial Zone. There are so many 90 degree turns after all. Maybe Marty wants to learn this course more further. Back to the race, after the long straight, now the second turn awaits!



Zen = Lead
Marty = +0.1m

Looks like Marty prefer gripping over drifting for this race. You can see it beccause there's no spark emitted on the course. Back to the race, Marty tries to get back his lead now.

Marty: "Phew, I'll try to beat you now!"



Zen = Lead

The gap between Marty and Zen widens! what Marty should do now?

Marty: "Crap, guess I have to upgrade my engines! But, I don't know if that works..."

As Zen and Marty approaches series of tight 90 degree turns...





Zen = Lead

Marty did close onto Zen but Zen pulls off stylish drifts through turns. But he goes wide after the third tight corner! Marty takes a look up inside line!

Marty: "Yeah! My favorite racing line! Inside line's open!"
Zen: "Crack, should put my pedal to the metal now!"

Zen should be outrun Marty by now but Marty is tailing Zen's car and follow his racing line onto the chicane!




Zen = Lead
Marty = +1m

Zen loses his grip for a brief moment, which made Marty got his advantage to overtake him!

Marty: "Haha, I almost got you there!"
Zen: "Not too close man, let's see if you can handle the long left hander ahead!"
Marty: "Do you mean the long right hander?"
Zen: "I don't know, but someone who made this story knows what is the reverse version of long right hander."
Marty: "Forward is antonym of reverse, kindergartens knew it. Enough said."



Zen = Lead
Marty = +1m

It looks like Zen's Eighty-Six slightly emitting tire smokes! Marty grips behind. Looks like Marty's speed at turns is better than Zen, although Marty's car isn't the best on straight roads.

Marty: "Call me Mr. Kei Antislider, and we're done!"
Zen: "Haha, whatever you call it, boy!"
Marty: "Come on!"



FINAL LAP!!! 1st of 2 Laps completed

As Zen and Marty are enjoying their race, another car appears to be parked on the shop nearby her house (which is not pictured on the full course). Who is she? Driving a Mazda MX5 (Eunos Roadster in Japan), that MX5 is parked on the shop and the car's color is grey. The one who drives that Miata is buying something after she hang out with her friends earlier.

???: "May I have a bottle of drinking water please? I'm thirsty after I hang out with my friends."
Shopkeeper: "Yes, we have plenty of them. They're just a quarter!"
???: "Oh, thank you."

But when Zen and Marty pass the girl who drive the Miata...



???: "Who are they?"

The girl consider to find it out by FOLLOWING THEIR RACE.

Marty: "Zen, there's a Mazda Miata following behind us!"
???: "Hey, what are you guys doing here?"
Zen: "Mandy?"
???: "Zen???"
Marty: "You know her?"
Zen: "Yes, her house is so near from my house. We passed her house just after we almost finish the first lap."
Marty: "Wow, a neighbor?"
Zen: "Yes."
Mandy: "Don't leave me behind! I'm in for curiosity!"

Marty: "Series of tight turns, cannot lose here!"
Mandy: "God, Zen is so freaking fast!"

Zen: "I don't know..."
Marty: "Oh well, since you didn't notice."



Now Mandy is pushing hard and rams into Marty! Now they are going head-to-head!

Marty: "Ouch! That hurts!"
Mandy: "Like it or not, it's racing."
Marty: "But how come? You're still young after all!"
Mandy: "I just started, I'm so curious. I'm a pop culture-loving girl after all."
Marty: "Oh, just guessing when's the new movies come out."
Mandy: "We'll talk later."



It looks like Mandy, Marty and Zen will be battling onto the finish line! Who will it be? The Drift Academy Champion Zen? The charismatic Marty? Or the pop lover Mandy? And the winner is...

Zen: "Go ahead."
Marty: "Do you know someone named Brooke Starfields?"
Zen: "Not yet."
Marty: "She's the FF car queen, she drives Honda Civic EG6. She's currently in the North section of this village."
Zen: "Any more info?"
Marty: "I lost her. She's a part of Danielle's team if I didn't wrong. Her car is so stable, hence because her car is FF drivetrain."
Zen: "I'll beat her!"
Marty: "What a guy, Zen!"
Mandy: "Wow, what are you doing now? Planning another race?"
Zen: "Nothing, we're just talking."
Mandy: "Oh. I heard you're talking about Brooke Starfields. I can bring you to there but I'm afraid you have to race against another driver."
Zen: "Who is it?"
Marty: "I'm curious..."
Mandy: "He said 'he' will come here."
Marty: "Mandy, you test my nerves..."

Hiroshi: “Ha ha ha ha ha! I'll pay my failure to you, Zen! Don't ever underestimate the power of Honda Beat! Ha ha ha ha!"

After Zen racing against Marty and Mandy joins the race at the middle of the race, and finally ended up with Zen won the race. However, it will not last long as the new track will rise, and a tough rival will emerge. Meanwhile, Zen, Marty and Mandy are resting in front of Zen's house.

Zen: "So tell me, who is Brooke Starfields actually?"
Marty: "Brooke Starfields is a girl who is a part of Danielle's team."
Zen: "Wait, Danielle had a team?"
Marty: "Yes, she als had a close relationship with Joanie in terms of team business."
Zen: "Well..."
Marty: "She spun out her Vivio at the D.A final race, and what I heard is she switched her car."
Zen: "With what?"
Marty: "I don't know."
Mandy: "So, she's on somewhere at Fujiwara Lakeside? The North side of this village?"
Marty: "Bali Village Residence, for exact."
Mandy: "Ouch, I heard that place before."
Zen: "Bali Village Residence?"
Marty: "Yeah, she become a Tricker there."
Zen: "What is Tricker?"
Mandy: "A liar?"
Marty: "Not a liar, maybe you should open up Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift/Kaido Racer dictionary. Tricker is a kind of a normal racer, but you have to fulfill the requirement he/she wants. Example you should win 5 times before you drive against her, etc."
Zen: "Oh.."
Mandy: "I thought It's a liar but Trickster is something different."
Marty: "Tricker."
Mandy: "Whatever."
Zen: "By the way, what's her requirement to race her?"
Marty: "As far as I know, you have to race with Danielle at least once. Racing in Drift Academy counts."
Zen: "Then?"
Marty: "You have to apply a sticker to beat her, and win at last 5 times."
Zen: "Let's see. I've won against Shark, you..."
Marty: "You just defeated 2 drivers including me."
Mandy: "The guy who will race you might be the third win for you, that is if you win."
Zen: "Well, I can do it."
Mandy: "But beware, he's not an average guy you can beat. He's wild and tough."
Marty: "Wait, do you mean?"
Zen: "I have a bad feeling about this..."

But as they're have a bad feeling about someone will come, the car they're fear of is finally come into Fujiwara Village, right in front of Zen's house. Suddenly that cars oversteers and it is revealed that the car is Hiroshi, the one who race with Zen at Drift Academy.

Hiroshi: "Hey you! Glad to see your faces again!"
Zen: "Hiroshi!"
Marty: "What?"
Hiroshi: "I'm here to avenge my lost earlier at D.A. Now I will race in your village in one condition, I want a new route!"
Mandy: "New route?"
Marty: "He wants to race in a new route of your track."
Zen: "You want it? Fine, I'll show you the new route is..."

So, Zen and Hiroshi are doing a Route Checking Lap

This track configuration will be the race course where Zen and Hiroshi battle. But, Hiroshi say a word before they start the race.

Hiroshi: "Listen up Zen, I know I wanna race but, I will challenge you to a First-to-Last Battle!"
Zen: "First-to-Last?"
Marty: "What is that?"

Zen: "Ah, I understand now. You'll start behind me and you'll catch me?"
Hiroshi: "Absolutely! I'm wanting this cat-and-mouse chase happens between us."
Mandy: "Uh oh."
Marty: "Go get 'em! Don't lose!"

The race will be start, and the countdown starts. Three, two, one. GO!!!



And the race is go! The FL Battle between Zen and Hiroshi is a go! Now what Zen must do is lead 100m ahead of Hiroshi, or not letting Hiroshi pass Zen and leaves him 50m behind. Into the first turn, Zen drifts as usual but Hiroshi grips through the corner. Is this what does the MR drivetrain car do? Maybe...



Zen - 2m ahead Hiroshi

Hiroshi: (himself) "I'll let him lead for a brief moment, then when I have an opportunity to pass, I will crush him!"
Zen: "Dang, why Hiroshi doesn't drift?"
Marty: "Come on, you can do it!"
Mandy: "Zen, don't give up!"

Into the first long straight part, Hiroshi tailgates Zen to collect speed and he turns outside line!



Zen - 1m ahead Hiroshi

Now Hiroshi gains speed and zooms forward! Hiroshi decreases Zen's gap!

Hiroshi: "This is just a beginning!"
Zen: "I have to drive fast to get out from him!"



Zen - 1m ahead Hiroshi

Hiroshi: "Got you!"
Zen: "Crap!"

It looks like Hiroshi is able to push Zen! That means Zen must not do a mistake in any way at the next turn!

Hiroshi: "Don't think you can escape from me!"
Zen: "Huh, you say it's just beginning, right?"
Hiroshi: "What I mean is it's just the beginning OF MY ACT!!!"

Hiroshi pulls out his rage and shifts up a gear!



Zen - 1m ahead Hiroshi

Hiroshi is not cease to let go of Zen! That's why Hiroshi wants to have an FL Battle with Zen -- to test the might of Zen when he's intimidated by Hiroshi!

Hiroshi: "Do you want more from me?"
Zen: "Bring it on, man!"

Okay Zen, you're admitted it.



Zen - 1m ahead Hiroshi

Wow, in times like this, Zen is still able to resist from Hiroshi's intimidation! Zen is drifting like no car ever gets to his tail. Not when he's bumped by Hiroshi...



Zen - 1m ahead Hiroshi (I mean, really. When's the condition will change???)

Hiroshi: (himself) "For the sake of cupcakes! You got on my nerves, you kid!"
Zen: (himself) "Crack, need to conclude this fight fast!"

Meanwhile at the sideway of the track's starting line...

Marty: "Mandy, let's have a prediction."
Mandy: "Okay."
Marty: "Zen is good at corners, but Hiroshi is really strong in techniques. Even his Kei car would able to tailgate Zen's AE86 in times like this!"
Mandy: "Why's that?"
Marty: "Hiroshi's car is Mid-Engined. This drivetrain's main characteristics are not only mid-engined and rear wheel drive, but also can oversteer in any occassion."
Mandy: "I see, but why Hiroshi's car isn't sliding? Usually oversteered cars slides."
Marty: "That's what I wanna know. I'm wondering how Hiroshi's car is stable despite the drivetrain's characteristics is easy to oversteer...?"

Moments later...




Zen: "Hey!"
Hiroshi: "You know what, finally your lead is over! Now it's my turn to steal your show!"

Oh no! It looks like Zen is being overtaked by Hiroshi! This is not a good news... Meanwhile at the other place where Marty and Mandy are talking in you-know-where.

Marty: "Crack! Hiroshi is already took a lead from Zen!"
Mandy: "Oh crap, I'm so worried of Zen right now..."
Marty: "Let's hope it's alright. The race is 2 laps after all."
Mandy: "Two laps? But in D.A you drove 3 laps."
Marty: "The track is long, let's say D.A is 1.2km and Fujiwara II is 2km. D.A in 3 laps can take 3.6km while Fujiwara II can take 4km. It's all about how the racers drive some short length races. They're rookies, like us."
Mandy: "Well, if I were there, I'm gonna take 3 laps race around here..."



Zen - 4m behind Hiroshi

Now all he must to do is take back his lead to win! But seems Hiroshi's car become oversteer after taking a high speed. Could this means the weakness of MR cars exposed? Or it's just his error? Or maybe he's drifting?

Hiroshi: "Huh, my car might be unstable but I can drift with this!"
Zen: (himself) "Wait, he's oversteering or drift?"



Zen - 1m behind Hiroshi

It's now Zen's turn to decrease his gap with Hiroshi whose in front of him! Could this be a chance for Zen to regain his first place?

Zen: "Hey, how's the feeling to be me in first place when we're changing roles?"
Hiroshi: "No challenge!"
Zen: "Pardon?"



Zen - 2m behind Hiroshi

Zen slightly bumps Hiroshi, but Hiroshi still showing his stability!

Hiroshi: "Huh, even if you bump me, it didn't work at all!"
Zen: "You think so? Let's prove it on the next turn!"

Finally Zen's about to show that his words is also an action!



Just taking an inside line....



Also taking an inside line, this time Hiroshi is passed!



But Hiroshi takes it back, but Zen don't want to give up so easily!

Hiroshi: "Dang you kid!"
Zen: "It's not over yet!"



Zen: "What?"

All of the sudden, Hiroshi blocks Zen so Zen will unable to pass Hiroshi inside line!

Zen: "Is this a joke or what?"
Hiroshi: "That's technique!"
Zen: "If you blocked me on the inside line, I'll try this one instead!"



Hiroshi: "No way!"



Hiroshi: "Satisfied?"
Zen: "TIME!!!"



Hiroshi: "Gaaaaaaahhhh....."




Marty: "What is that?"
Mandy: "Whose screech is that?"
Marty: "Hope it's not Zen."
Zen: "Great!"
Hiroshi: "Aarrgghh!!! Gotta catch him again!"

Soonly enough, Hiroshi tries to reverse his car and turn back to the right direction. But, Hiroshi is already left behind by Zen for 100m! So the winner of this race is Zen! Once again, victory in his home! And as Zen's car zooms to the start/finish line...

Marty: "You made it!"
Mandy: "Wow, what an intense race!"
Zen: "I can't believe I won!"

Moments later, Hiroshi arrived at the S/F line and walks towards Zen to find out that he's congratulate Zen.

Hiroshi: "Zen, your technique is really awesome. You tricked me at that time."
Zen: "Yeah, but it's just my experimental after all."
Hiroshi: "No, actually you've tricked me because you found out that MR cars are easily oversteer."
Zen: "Well..."
Marty: *whistles*
Mandy: "Not me..."
Hiroshi: "No, I don't want to blame any person, it's a fact already."
Marty: "Oh, sorry."
Mandy: "Finally."
Marty: "Finally what?"
Hiroshi: "Let me tell you. You say you want to race against Brooke Starfields' EG6 right?"
Marty: "The Trickster?"
Zen: "You know her?"
Hiroshi: "Of course I know her. I always raced her, just before she proclaims herself as a Trickster. But since she's stressed about always racing, she decides that she wants to have a requirements to race her, which is win 5 races in here."
Mandy: "Then how do she know she beat 5 person here?"
Hiroshi: "Here, I brought a special paper which Brooke wants me keep for someone who are willing to race me. All you have to do is fill your name here."
Zen: "So far, I beat Shark, Marty and you."
Mandy: "How about me?"
Marty: "You're not counted because you just interfere a race. Interfere in the race isn't counted, am I right?"
Hiroshi: "Right."
Mandy: "Aww... I wanna racing!"
Marty: "It's okay, you'll racing later."
Zen: "Anyway, so Marty is here, then how about Shark?"

Shark's car arrives at the scene. He's finished playing billiards with his friend.

Shark: "Hey guys, what's happening here? Am I late?"
Hiroshi: "No, you're not?"
Shark: "Wow, who's this fierce guy?"
Marty: "Hiroshi, this is Shark. Shark, this is Hiroshi."
Hiroshi: "Nice to meet you."
Shark: "Oh, me too. Haha, sorry."
Hiroshi: "It's alright."
Zen: "Shark, I've defeated you, so you have to write your name and include your own signature in this paper."
Shark: "What's this for?"
Hiroshi: "Brooke Starfields from the Fujiwara Lakeside area wants to use this as a proof if Zen defeated 5 racers here."
Shark: "What?"
Hiroshi: "She's the only Fujiwara Village Trickster here."
Shark: "Oh, okay. I'll write my name here and my signature here... (writing) Done!"
Hiroshi: "Alright, Marty write your name and your signature here."
Marty: "Alright!"
Hiroshi: "And I will responsible to write my own name."

Seconds later after it's done

Hiroshi: "Now we have 3 racers already. Me, Shark and Marty. All we have to do is to catch up with someone new."
Marty: "Wait, I heard there's a rumor who drives at D.A at night!"
Hiroshi: "Do you know that guy's car?"
Marty: "Don't know, but her car is black."
Hiroshi: "Wait, you say 'her'? That means the next driver is a girl! Could it be Danielle?"
Zen: "I might check out by myself!"
Hiroshi: "Zen! Don't forget this paper for racing with Brooke!"
Zen: "Ah, I almost forgot."

Zen: "Okay, I'll go!"
Marty: "Wait, let me accompany you! I wanna know who is she."
Hiroshi: "Just make sure you are all safe."

Then when they're arrived at D.A...

There's a sign say "CLOSED"

Zen: "Closed?"
Marty: "Am I wrong? Wait, there's another read there... It says:"

'DRIFT ACADEMY ONLY OPEN AT 8am - 4pm ON MONDAY-THURSDAY, AND 8am - 9pm ON FRIDAY-SUNDAY.'

Kojiro: "What are you guys doing here?"
Marty: "Oh, Kojiro?"
Kojiro: "Yes, if you want to use the D.A Track, come again tomorrow at afternoon. This place is now open until 4pm weekdays because I have many appointments. I'm a part-time worker also you know."
Marty: "You work part-time?"
Kojiro: "Yes, and both of you should take care of your next rivals. Who knows they're faster than you are."
Marty: "Thanks for the tip!"
Zen: "We appreciated it!"

Now the D.A Track facility is closed earlier, and Kojiro is revealed to be a part-time worker. But, the adventure isn't over yet! What kind of rival that will emerge? Will Zen able to answer Brooke's requirements so Zen can race his Eighty Six with Brooke's Civic? The answer is on the next episode!

Zen, Marty and Shark were bored after school and they want to plan something new. They're planning to drive down Drift Academy one more time but they can't. All of the sudden, the three sees a challenge letter which is patched inside Zen's locker door. The letter says:

"PLEASE ACCEPT MY CHALLENGE, AND COME BEFORE 14:00 TO DRIFT ACADEMY. LOVE, CARRIE."

Zen: "Who's Carrie?"
Shark: "I don't know much about her."

Marty: "Great idea."
Shark: "So acceptable Zen, I'm in."
Marty: "I'm in also."
Zen: "Okay, let's go."

Drift Academy, 13:20

As they're driving through the D.A course which Marty and Zen drove at the D.A test, they're directly to the middle part of the circuit. Later on, they're meeting with Carrie.

Carrie: "Oh great, you're came here 40 minutes earlier."
Shark: "Hey, watch your attitude, girl!"
Carrie: "Attitude? Huh, you know I'm a little bit ***** but yeah. Introduce me, I'm Carrie Scherner. I'm new here, and just being a part of Danielle's Team, 'The Drift Girls'."
Shark: "What?"
Marty: "So you're in Danielle's Team already?"
Carrie: "Yeah, why not?"
Zen: "And you're driving an exact same car as Danielle."
Carrie: "Huh, Danielle gave me a ROM tuning and some 'Acceleration +' settings. And you know what, Danielle drives an Imprezza now."
Zen: "Imprezza?"
Shark: "What model?"
Carrie: "The GC8. Black GC8 to be precise. Oh, and you know what, the black color represents our team's color - black!"
Marty: "Hmm... Well..."
Carrie: "Well what?"
Marty: "Nothing..."
Carrie: "Huh, well. Zen, you said you're the master of D.A. Why don't you race me 3 laps in the reverse direction of this course? Dare?"
Marty: "Take her challenge!"
Shark: "Come on, she'll your fourth driver to be defeated!"
Carrie: "FOURTH TO BE DEFEATED??? Are you trying to race Brooke Starfields with that crappy slow-looking Eighty-Six? Well, NO WAY! You're not Brooke's MATCH! PERIOD!!!"
Shark: "Aww, it hurts my ears."
Marty: "That shout is too abusive!"
Carrie: "Huh, don't even hope guys can win. The Drift Girls' main goal is to defeat boys who are driving on Fujiwara and be the strongest all-female team ever!"
Zen: "Okay, I'll take your challenge!"
Carrie: "Finally the master open his mouth nothing to accept my race."

After Carrie's blabber, the race is start. Drift Academy track, reversed (opposite direction from previous episode which feature this course), and 3 Laps. Remember, Carrie drives a Vivio RX-R which Danielle used at D.A final race. And without any more talk, the race is started!



Carrie quickly takes the holeshot from Zen and she's leading right now!

Carrie: "Master? What master? Purely nonsense!"
Zen: "Calm down, it's just started."

On another place

Shark: "Carrie needs to keep her mouth from taunting."
Marty: "I don't know Shark, Danielle isn't mean, why Carrie is so mean and rude to any racer including Zen? This should be my consideration!"

Moments later.



Carrie = Lead
Zen = +2m

Carrie: "Even if this is just a beginning phase, I just wanna test your might at the first lap."
Zen: "Well, you asked for it. PEDAL TO THE METAL!!!"

Zen steps his feet on his pedal so hard. While Zen is trying to get a possible top speed to overtake Carrie, Carrie quickly reacts to Zen.



Carrie = Lead
Zen = +1m

Carrie: "Huh, is that what you got?"
Zen: "Dang it!"

At the other place

Shark: "Wow, that girl is really full of technique."
Marty: "I see. But she shouldn't be proud of herself just because of a minor tuning."
Shark: "That's an 'Acceleration +' setting, what do you know about it?"
Marty: "The 'Acceleration +' setting is a setting where it slightly boost acceleration. So the gearing would be around average numbers at 4 or 5 in a scale of 10. 1 means full acceleration while 10 means full top speed focus."
Shark: "So it's all about transmission tuning?"
Marty: "Nope, I think Danielle installed her RX-R a ROM module and let Carrie drive."

Back to the race



Carrie: "Do you think I can get defeated so easily, huh?"
Zen: "Huh, time to unleash my move!"
Carrie: "Your move?"

Zen tries to overtake Carrie by taking the inside line. Suddenly...



Carrie: "Do you think taking an inside line will work on me? Don't dreaming, kid!"
Zen: "Gosh, this driver is one of my toughest rival!"

Marty: "No she isn't!"
Shark: "Marty, what the heck?"
Marty: "What do you mean?"
Shark: "Zen thinks that Carrie is the toughest rival he ever faced."
Marty: "Tuned car driven by an unwise man might prone to mistake, if he or she, the unwise man is followed by a rival for a long time, he or she might oversteer."
Shark: "Hmm... Confusing but logical."

Meanwhile, the race is already hit the "Lap 2" mark. Carrie is still leading with Zen tailing her.



Carrie = Lead
Zen = +1m

Zen fends an opportunistic move on Carrie, and he tries it. Moments later...



Zen is able to close to Carrie and slightly overtaking her

Carrie: "What are you DOING???"
Zen: "Well, racing is about technique and personality, not just tuning."
Carrie: "How dare you!"

Without any thinking, Carrie bumps Zen's car from behind and try to wipe Zen out.




Zen just drift the corner to cover his car's unstability after hitted by Carrie.

Carrie: "Shoot, why you always like that to me? Without any choice..."



Carrie continuously bump Zen. Zen become unstable!

Zen: "Oh my! This girl is aggressive!"
Carrie: "Whatever you say."



Marty: "What?"
Shark: "What a dirty driving!"
Marty: "Will Zen okay?"

Zen: "Don't worry me, I can turn this thing to 180 degrees!"




Shark: "What?"
Marty: "Fantastic!"

Carrie: "No way! He should gone by now!"
Zen: "Back to the race, let's catch that arrogant-driven girl my 86!"

Zen steps his pedal to the metal, while Carrie is 5 metres ahead. How will this thing turned out?






Carrie: "Damn, this guy is a REAL pushover!"
Zen: "Don't say anything rude girl."

Shark: "This is it! The final lap!"
Marty: "I'm so expecting Zen to win this time."

As the race hits the 3rd and final lap, Kojiro appears.

Kojiro: "Hey, what are you guys doing here?"
Shark: "Watching a race."
Marty: "Zen versus Carrie."
Kojiro: "Interesting, who's in the lead?"
Shark: "Carrie is leading but Zen still catching up."
Kojiro: "As I expected, Zen finally race against a tuned opponent."
Marty: "Yes, I knew."
Kojiro: "After the race, I want to give Zen a basic tuning."
Shark: "What?"
Marty: "Are you serious?"
Kojiro: "Danielle's Drift Girls tuned her Vivio RX-R with ROM module and transmission. I'm gonna give him the same tuning as she did to her ex Vivio."
Marty: "But do you know where's the tuning shop around here?"
Shark: "Across here."
Kojiro: "He's right."
Marty: "Oh, I didn't notice it before."
Shark: "Well, I know because the billiard place, Drift Academy and tuning shop are footsteps away."
Kojiro: "Well, Zen should win. Tomorrow night, one figure will be here."
Marty: "What? I heard of it but I don't know."
Shark: "Who is that?"
Kojiro: "She's dubbed as the long-time master in D.A. She drives on a new course over there. The new course is just 90% re-paved."
Marty: "Wow, cool."
Shark: "Re-paved?"
Kojiro: "Yes, for a driving around D.A. She drives Nissan Silvia PS13."
Marty: "PS13? I thought S13 is the only first gen Nissan Silvia variant."
Kojiro: "Nope, there are two kinds of it."
Marty: "What's the difference?"
Kojiro: "I don't know, the engine is different, other than that it's just the same."

Back to the race, Zen is close to Carrie.



Carrie = Lead
Zen = +1m

Carrie: "Why you???"
Zen: "Well."



Zen is getting closer to Carrie! And at the next turn...



Zen finally overtakes Carrie! What a fantastic display of opportunistic move!

Carrie: "No!!!"
Zen: "Nice shot there, Carrie. Just not too fast."
Carrie: "Ugh..."





And finally the race is over when the leader crosses the line. And it is...

Marty + Shark: "Zen wins! Yahoo!!!"
Kojiro: "As I expected."

Zen is once again wins at Drift Academy. Now 4 drivers out of 5 is defeated in order to challenge Brooke Starfields.

FINAL RESULTS
1. Zen (AE86 Trueno)
2. Carrie (Vivio RX-R)

After the race Carrie turns around and stops awhile. Meanwhile Carrie is out of her car and approaches to Zen.

Carrie: "Zen, you beated me like you throw my face with dirt! You're so insane! You're devil! Enough with you already!"
Zen: "But how about the name and..."
Carrie: "Curses with your notes and blah blah blahs. I'm tired!"

Carrie gets back in to the car and she zooms her car.

Drift Academy - After the race, 13:30

Marty: "Well, at least she's gone."
Shark: "You don't have to regret about it, her personality is just like that."
Zen: "I don't regret anything, I'm happy to drive against an aggressive driver. It's really challenging, especially when racing against a tuned car."
Kojiro: "Oh, speaking of tunings, I wanna take you across this place to a tuning shop. There, I'll give you ROM tuning, transmission tuning and et cetera so your car can be as fast as Carrie."
Marty: "Actually Carrie has an 'Acceleration +' setting."
Kojiro: "Then I'll improve Zen's acceleration to his car. Acceleration is really needed when the track is really tricky and full of turns, like your village and here."
Zen: "Well, Carrie's tuned RX-R is as fast as my car, but how about my car which will be equipped by same parts as Carrie?"
Marty: "Don't know."
Shark: "Power!"
Marty + Shark + Zen + Kojiro: *laughs*
Kojiro: "Seriously guys."

And the laughters are spread among them. Kojiro is about to take Zen's car to the tuning shop where it's footsteps away from D.A. How about Carrie?

The Drift Girls' HQ at Fujiwara Lakeside, 14:00

Carrie: (driving) "I'm so tired, so sick, so... Frustrating me much."

Moments later she saw a Nissan Silvia parked in front of her with a girl who have a short red hair driving on it. Carrie stops her car.

Carrie: "Owww...."
Mollie: "What?"
Carrie: "Mollie?"
Mollie: "Don't pretend to forget me Mrs. Arrogant, you're just bad."
Carrie: "I don't accept this!"
Mollie: "Carrie, racing isn't about power. Is about technique and personality, but perhaps power. Power is just a second priority while technique is a must."
Carrie: "Ugh!!!"
Mollie: "Well, you're ignoring my advices just like you taunt your own mother. Time for a second plan."
Carrie: "No, please!"

Moments later Mollie locks the RX-R doors.

Mollie: "Done, no more driving unless your personality is good again, not an arrogant."
Carrie: "Oh my car!" *cries*
Mollie: "Well, if you weren't defeated by Zen because of your arrogancy then I'll not lock your car. Wait, did I say Zen?" (herself) "Dang, I must appear tomorrow night. I wanna know how's Zen skills is. That is if he could able to grasp my PS13."

Mollie is waiting, but who is Mollie? What's the form of the new D.A course that is just re-paved by 90%? And what will Zen bring to defeat Mollie's PS13? Next episode is only way you can find out!

Kojiro, Marty, Zen and Shark are going to the Tuning shop near the Drift Academy racing school. Kojiro promised that he would give Zen a similar tuning as Carrie. As they're arrived there, a guy with a glasses who drives Suzuki Alto Works talks to the Shopkeeper with an afro hair and glasses which tire he should buy.

AW Guy: "So, do you prefer slick tires or normal tires?"
Shopkeeper: "Slicks are for high-driving performance because it grips well. Normal tires are for normal driving, and can be used for drift."
AW Guy: "Interesting... I want a new set of slick tires please. My tires worn out yesterday and I have a race to attend."
Shopkeeper: "Okay, it's $50 per pair. Do you want just front, rear, or both?"
AW Guy: "I want both."
Shopkeeper: "Good choice."
Marty: "Wow, slick tires?"
Kojiro: "Slick tires offers best grip for asphalt racing, but I think it's too much to equip Slick tires here."
Shopkeeper: "Hey Kojiro! It seems we're meet again!"
Kojiro: "Hey you! Introduce him, he's Matsumoto Shimada, the owner of this tuning shop."

And the shopkeeper is revealed as Matsumoto

Matsumoto: "Yeah, just call me Mr. M or Matsu."
Kojiro: "Well Matsu, one of those guys wants a tuning, can you tune his car for them?"
Matsumoto: "Ah, I understand, for racing? Great choice guys."
Marty: "How about me?"
Shark: "And me?"
Zen: "Calm down, we'll have the same equal tuning!"
Kojiro: "Okay guys, let's begin the tuning!"

Car Tuning, 14:30

Matsumoto: "So here, let's start with basic tuning. So what I'm gonna do here is to equip your cars an ECU."
Zen: "I thought it's a ROM tuning."
Matsumoto: "ECU is also ROM tuning, both have same meaning -- Computer tuning."
Marty: "Interesting. Then you promise us to have transmission tuning."
Matsumoto: "Correct, and I will put the first level of transmission tuning."
Shark: "What about the 'et cetera' thing?"
Kojiro: "Weight reduction level 1."
Zen: "What?"
Matsumoto: "The first level of weight reduction removes back seats and changes it with a roll bar."
Marty: "Uh oh..."
Shark: "So it's two seater now?"
Kojiro: "Unfortunately yes."
Zen: "Whatever, for racing speed's sake, I'll accept."
Matsumoto: "Okay, so it is fine? You don't want to change your tires or rims maybe?"
Shark: "No thanks."
Marty: "I think it's enough."
Zen: "Performance tuning first, then dress-ups come after!"
Kojiro: "Nice thinking."
Matsumoto: "Okay, now give me one night to do this while I will keep your car here. I'll promise a slight increase of power."
Zen: "That means we have to take our cars tomorrow."
Kojiro: "Tomorrow can be fine."
Matsumoto: "Okay, thanks for these tunings! And the price is..."
Kojiro: "I'll pay."
Marty: "Wow."
Kojiro: "Meanwhile, why don't you go to a place called 'Connection Net?"
Marty: "Connection Net?"
Kojiro: "It's a place where you can use internet and phone services."
Marty: "Cool."
Shark: "Just wondering..."
Zen: "Connection Net? That would be cool."

Marty, Shark and Zen are on the Connection Net. There, they found one site that is called a network for racers, The Wonkndeso World Network. On that site, there's an e-mail function, BBS (Message Boards), and also profiles for every racers. The site updates says:

"WELCOME TO THE WONKNDESO WORLD!

This site is under construction, but we'd like to hear from you, racers from all over the Wonkndeso Universe your thoughts and suggestions of this site. We hope you enjoy your stay here! Keep your eyes open for updates!"

Marty: "Wow, Connection Net is cool."
Shark: "Can't wait to make account there."
Zen: "I'm just wishing that Coreland will be listed."
Shark: "I know they will..."

After they finished checking the Connection Net, they're go back home and wait until the next day comes...

Fujiwara Tuning Shop, 16:00

Their cars' tuning are finished, and Zen, Marty and Shark feels a stunning increase of power.

Zen: "Wow! Feels like a much more powerful car!"
Shark: "Great! Now I can race with this tuning!"
Marty: "The weight reduction makes my car able to control more!"
Kojiro: "Now you see, the power of your cars are increasing. Now all you have to do is wait until the night comes."

Fujiwara Village, 16:30

The 3 guys are going back to the Fujiwara Village to invite someone to take on the new Drift Academy track.

Mandy: "What? Drift Academy's new track?"
Marty: "Yes, it will be breathtaking! By the way, where's Hiroshi?"
Hiroshi: "Wow, just got stayed in Mandy's house. Glad to sleep in bed alone."
Mandy: "Hiroshi stayed on my house last night, Hiroshi sleeps on the bedroom upstairs."
Hiroshi: "Never feel this feeling sensation. Well, how's the next race?"
Marty: "Chaotic."
Shark: "Zen defeated the next rival but she refuses to give her name."
Hiroshi: "Let me guess, Carrie Scherner."
Marty: "How do you know?"
Hiroshi: "I've seen her personality is always like that after races. She always like that."
Mandy: "Now when we will go now?"
Zen: "Right now."
Hiroshi: "Great!"

Drift Academy, 17:00

Zen's party just got arrived at the location where the next race will be held at. But, when they're checking the new track...



Hiroshi: "As long as I know, these roads has never been paved before."
Marty: "Not until now."
Mandy: "New road?"
Shark: "There's a Connection Net over there."
Mandy: "Oh my God! I want it so bad!"
Zen: "So when we will have to wait here?"
Hiroshi: "Beside, the next rival appears in 3 hours starting now. How do we spend the 3 hours?"
Marty: "Connection Net anyone?"
Mandy: "I want it!"

At the Connection Net, all of Zen's party are decided to make their own accounts. Now their accounts are:

Zen = Aspiring Driver
Marty = Flying Red
Hiroshi = Samurai Slash
Shark = Deep Shark
Mandy = Sweet Sixteen

And now the site, although it's under construction, but they see the "Coreland" section of the BBS. Shark creates a thread named "Fujiwara Racing Anyone???" And...

After they had a posting fiesta at the Connection Net's BBS, they have spent 2 hours, thanks to Mandy downloading some pop musics that she love.

Drift Academy, 19:20

Shark: "So, who wants to race here, anyone?"
Hiroshi: "That would be me!"
Mandy: "Finally I can join a race!"
Marty: "Yes! I want to increase my drift skills!"
Shark: "What about you, Zen?"
Zen: "I will but I have another rival I have to defeat."
Shark: "That leads us to a plan of us, we're racing until Zen's rival is here. After Zen's rival appears, we'll retreat and away from Zen and the next rival. How?"
Hiroshi: "Acceptable."
Marty: "Now let's have a race condition in here!"

In order to create a racing situation, they are now racing. They're start the race in the rolling start state.



GO!!!



Zen: "As usual!"
Hiroshi: "Crack, these guys are no pushover!"
Shark: "Oh yeah, this is definitely great!"
Marty: "Look out guys! My EA11R will bite your head!"
Mandy: "Finally I'm racing!"

At the straight, Hiroshi passes Mandy and Marty and then Shark. Now as they're reached the next turn, all racers drift except for Marty and Mandy.



Current position:
1. Zen
2. Hiroshi
3. Shark
4. Marty
5. Mandy



Shark: "Yeah! This race is really fun!"
Hiroshi: "I'm glad you guys enjoyed this."
Mandy: "Oh my God!"
Marty: "As fun as Mario Kart!"
Zen: "Yee-HAW!!!"

At the start line the racers just passed at the rolling start, Mollie and her Nissan Silvia Club K's (Let's call it PS13) are waiting.

Mollie: "Dang, those guys are really have fun. Man, I thought my race against Zen is a duel. Whatever..."

Back at the race.



Zen: "Hey, where's the challenge?"
Hiroshi: "You asked for it."
Marty: "Dang Mandy, you wanna take me on inside line?"
Mandy: "It's so obvious!"



Hiroshi: "Haha, I'll repeat what I've done to you in our duel, Zen!"
Shark: "Hey, I will catch you!"
Marty: "I must push myself! I don't like being last!"

At the starting line...

Mollie: "Oh well, I can't hear the audio in my car because it's broken. Well..."



Hiroshi battles against Zen! He takes the outside line while Shark is on the inside line.

Hiroshi: "Hahaha!"
Shark: "Hey! He's mine!"
Mandy: "No, you're mine!"
Marty: "I have to push this car to the max!"

They drift the next turn but they encountered an unpaved road! What will happen to them?

Mandy: "Oh my God, it's a dirt terrain!"
Zen: "Dirt terrain?"
Hiroshi: "Hah, my advantage!"



Mandy: "Oh no! I feel no traction here!"
Marty: "Straigthen your car!"
Hiroshi: "I got you..."
Zen: "Uh oh..."

And finally the unpaved road is passed, just encountering the next turn and they're done one lap!



And here comes Mollie

Mollie: "Yes, I can hear that sound! That AE86... I must catch him now!"



Mollie joins the race! Now there are six cars! And it's the final lap! Hence because the track length is long just like Fujiwara Village tracks. Back to the race, Mollie pass Mandy and Marty!



Marty: "What?"
Mandy: "She's overtaken us!"
Mollie: "What do I need to say? I'm here for Zen you know."
Marty: "That's the girl Kojiro talking about!"
Shark: "Uh oh, she's on my tail!"
Hiroshi: "Leave it to me if she's behind me!"

Just before the next turn, Mollie already overtake Shark and Hiroshi!

Shark: "Dang!"
Hiroshi: "She's too fast!"



Mollie: "What do you think, Zen?"
Zen: "Mollie?"
Mollie: "Oh God, you just noticed I'm here? Well..."



Mollie: "That's the cause."
Zen: "What?"
Shark: "No way!"

Mollie overtakes Zen! Now she's in the lead. It looks like Mollie wants to battle against Zen! What's more, it's final lap!

Mollie: "Even though I'm only appear a lap, doesn't mean I'm on the last place."
Zen: "I'll show you my driving skills!"



Mollie: "What? No way!"

Zen tries to drift while blocking Mollie from overtaking!

Zen: "Definitely! ECU, Transmission and the weight reduction has a good income in me! Time to drift this hairpin..."



Mandy is already outrunned off the illustration screen! Oh my!

Mandy: "God, they're so fast! Ugh!"



Marty overtakes Shark, while Hiroshi is able to pass Mollie in a turn!

Mollie: "No!"
Hiroshi: "Yes way! Hahaha!"
Mollie: "You gotta pay for it!"



Mollie collides Hiroshi's rear bumper! It looks like the condition heats up!

Hiroshi: "You!"
Mollie: "Nice move in turns, but oh well."

Meanwhile Marty battles against Shark

Marty: "Shark, I'll overtake you now!"
Shark: "Try it!"
Marty: "Our cars are tuned but Hiroshi, Mollie?"
Shark: "They have technique and more power. But drivers like us needs more power!"
Marty: "You asked for it!"
Shark: "Oh yeah!"



And into the final obstacle -- Dirt section! Can Zen handle it?



Mollie and Hiroshi are now closer to Zen. Now this is the most climax part!

Mollie: "I'll take you down!"
Hiroshi: "Dang you!"
Zen: "Oh no!"

Mollie overtakes Zen on the Dirt section!

Mollie: "There!"
Zen: "Crap!"

But when the final turn approaches...



Zen takes back his lead! It is now comes down to the final straight!

Mollie: "Crap!"
Hiroshi: "I'll overtake you back Mollie!"
Molllie: "No way!"
Shark: "Marty, I'll overtake you!"
Marty: "Try it!"
Mandy: "Oh my God, no hope for me..."

Mollie boosts a top speed more than other cars racing here and tries to overtake Zen but Zen blocks it! And the first place car crosses the line! Once again, Zen wins the race!

Mollie: "Oh no..."

Mollie: "Wow, I can't believe your car is so powerful enough to beat me."
Zen: "Actually your car is more powerful."
Mollie: "That's because I set also the 'Acceleration +' setting. ECU, transmission, and weight reduction."
Zen: "I have that one too."
Mollie: "Oh, I see. I also notice that you have a roll bar installed. Anyway, great race, I wish a race like this should be repeated."
Marty: "Yeah!"
Shark: "That's one heck of a race! I wish we had another race like this."
Mollie: "I hope."
Mandy: "I lost... But Mollie, do you have a BBS account?"
Mollie: "BBS? Oh, haven't signed up yet on BBS."
Mandy: "Shark created a thread of Fujiwara racing."
Mollie: "Oh cool. Nice!"

Meanwhile Kojiro shows up and enters the scene

Kojiro: "Yeah, I've been raced with many cars since I was an active driver. The most cars in my race was 10 cars."
Shark: "Ten cars?"
Zen: "Are you sure?"
Kojiro: "Yes."
Mollie: "And how's the car's performance on that race?"
Kojiro: "They have more powerful cars, but I beat them with my technique."
Hiroshi: "So?"
Kojiro: "Racing in Wonkndeso Universe isn't about duel, is about racing with many cars also. I think we should invite more racers."
Zen: "Mollie, do you know anything about Brooke Starfields?"
Mollie: "Brooke Starfields? Yeah, she's on Bali Village, at the Fujiwara Lakeside. Fujiwara Lakeside is the western part of Fujiwara Village, Bali Village is a residence name. But you should know, Brooke isn't an easy opponent."
Hiroshi: "I know."
Shark: "It's the fifth racer that Zen defeat!"
Mollie: "I know, I should write my name on it. Zen, do you have a 'Special paper' that Hiroshi gave to you?"
Zen: "Sure I have." (hands his paper to Mollie)
Mollie: "Let me write my name and my signature, I have my own pen."

Seconds later

Mollie: "You don't have to ask Carrie's signature, she hates losing. But Brooke will know it since Brooke is also a part of Danielle's team 'The Drift Girls', so do I."
Marty: "But Brooke is a Trickster."
Mollie: "That's the problem. Her advantage is on Bali Village, that's why she call herself a Trickster of Fujiwara Village."
Hiroshi: "Well, it seems tomorrow we have to race against her."
Zen: "We're up for it!"
Mollie: "Be careful of her!"

So in the end, Zen defeated his 5th rival. Now with all 5 rivals defeated, Zen prepares for racing against the first Trickster he will face, Brooke Starfields. What will Zen bring for the race? Find out next episode!

Msg: "It's a great idea to have a racing technique section, since there are lots of newcomers! Anyway, here. The basic driving techniques are easy. First, throttling and braking. Accelerate when you didn't see a sharp turn yet. Brake when you see a sharp turn. Releasing the throttle pedal might be useful at a turn which isn't too tight. Don't forget, steering! Oversteer will make your car more respond but prone to spinning off. Understeer doesn't have any spin out risk but the car has less response. Good luck!"

Shark: "Wow, so useful."
Zen: "Maybe we can contribute something..."
Shark: "Zen, I think we should check Brooke's info right now."

Zen and Shark are waiting for Brooke in Bali Village, they're waiting right in front of entrance gate.

Zen: "She's not here yet."
Shark: "Maybe we should wait another minutes."

As they are waiting, a guy driving Daihatsu Copen pass them. When that guy know that Zen and Shark wait for Brooke, the guy lowers the window and tells them about something related to Brooke.

Copen Guy: "Are you waiting for Brooke Starfields?"
Zen: "Yes!"
Shark: "We are."
Copen Guy: "Brooke isn't here now. I'm a friend of her, she's only appears on Sunday."
Zen: "Why?"
Copen Guy: "She's a college student. She had an extra class on Saturday. She's home at evening so she can't race except Sunday."
Shark: "Thank's for the info!"
Copen Guy: "Don't mention it!" (closing the window) "Glad to help them."

Shark: "So what do you think? Should we come here tomorrow?"
Zen: "Yeah, let's try tomorrow."
Shark: "Okay. Back to the Fujiwara Village."

Shark and Zen goes back to the Village instead.

At the evening, Brooke is finally home at her house after taking her extra class in school. The Copen guy that helped Zen and Shark hours ago tells Brooke.

Copen Guy: "Brooke, I think there's someone that will challenge you!"
Brooke: "Oh. I think I have another challenger."
Copen Guy: "It is."
Brooke: "Finally, challenger." (sighs)

It is revealed that Brooke didn't race any challenger before for a long time. Hence because she's a Trickster.

Fujiwara Village, 10:00

The day after Zen and Shark waited Brooke and ended up with an information that Brooke appears every Sunday, Zen, Shark and Marty are decided to have a plan.

Marty: "Okay guys, now I know a thing now."
Zen: "What do you know?"
Shark: "Yeah, tell me."
Marty: "So, do you remember Danielle from the last D.A test we race, Zen?"
Zen: "Yes, why?"
Marty: "She lives in Fujiwara Lakeside! West from this village!"
Shark: "And then?"
Zen: "Which one we should race? Brooke or Danielle?"
Marty: "Just for your information, Danielle is now driving a Subaru Imprezza WRX STi version 4, the chassis code is GC8. And by the way, it's black."
Shark: "We knew it, we heard them from Carrie."
Marty: "No! You didn't see the power of it yet! It is 4 wheel drive, and it's more powerful than your Eighty-six Zen!"
Zen: "Then what the advantages of 4WD cars?"
Marty: "4WD cars are not only stable despite doesn't drift much, but can conquer off-road terrains without any slow downs! Meanwhile FR is a real nightmare on dirt tracks."
Zen: "Uh oh..."
Marty: "Bad news, isn't it."
Shark: "That's bad for us. Which one of us driving an AWD car? Nothing!"
Zen: "Okay guys, let's go to the Lakeside. I hve to race against Brooke now."
Marty: "Great idea, let's go with him!"
Shark: "Sure! Let's race in a new place!"

Bali Village Front Gate, 10:20

Again, Zen and Shark waits in front of Bali Village's front gate. This time with Marty joins the party. Moments later, A red Honda Civic SiR (chassis code is EG6) appears. As expected, it's Brooke Starfields.

Brooke: "Waiting for me?"
Zen: "Yes! I am waiting to race!"
Brooke: "Well, have you raced 5 rivals and win from them?"
Zen: "I have." *takes out his rival paper and give it to Brooke*
Brooke: "Let me see... Um... Okay..."
Zen: "So what?"
Brooke: "Let me guess, you didn't get Carrie's signature because Carrie hates losing?"
Zen: "Wha?"
Marty: "How do you know?"
Brooke: "Mollie contacted me last night. It's okay, Carrie is always like that, so I give you an exception of her signature."
Zen: "If Carrie takes her losing, this wouldn't be happen."
Brooke: "Forget that, come inside here and let's race. I haven't race anyone since I am in college now."

Bali Village, 10:30

Brooke: "Your name is Zen Kusanagi right?"
Zen: "Yes."
Brooke: "And you are Zen's friend, right?"
Shark: "Of course we are!"
Marty: "We're on Zen's side!"
Brooke: "Well. I'll tell you what, before college, I was an active racer. But since I am in college, my days are so busy, and so does the Saturdays where I have extra classes. Therefore I only accept racing on Sunday. What's more, I'm looking for a talented racer. So that's why I dub myself as a Trickster here."
Marty: "So why you just racing on Bali Village?"
Brooke: "Well, actually I also race around the lakeside area but Bali Village is my strength. Thus, don't underestimate!"
Zen: "Okay, so what's the route for the race?"
Brooke: "Follow me."

Zen's party follows Brooke to find out what's the starting line look like. Moments later, the starting line is revealed and so does the route.



Zen: "So this is the route?"
Brooke: "Yes. The hairpin is a final turn in this track so, yeah. And because this is a residential area you should be careful because usually in residential areas, the car is parked in front of the house instead of garages. But thankfully because the residents knows that we're racing here, the cars are parked in the proper place. What's more, people are watching!"
Marty: "Wow!"
Shark: "It's like a crowded race!"
Brooke: "So, with these, do you still want to race?"
Zen: "Of course!"
Brooke: "Well, prepare to race against my EG6! I've tuned this car with proper parts to match the course's characteristics!"
Shark: "Show them!"
Zen: "Okay!"
Brooke: "Okay, let's start the race!"

And the race is about to start. About 12 peoples are watching the race at the starting line. What's more, they're supporting Brooke. But is this thing lowers Zen's spirit? No! Zen has Marty and Shark on his side! And the race is about to begin!

Crowd #1: "Yeah! Go Brooke!"
Crowd #2: "Show them!"

Marty appears to be a flagger for this race.

Marty: "Are you guys ready?"
Brooke: "I am!"
Zen: "Let's do this!"
Marty: "Ready? Set... GO!!!"



And the race is started! Two laps around the Bali Village! Zen against the first Trickster Brooke Starfields. Zen seems to take a holeshot from Brooke but Brooke sees an opportunity to overtake!



Brooke: "Maybe you took a holeshot but the race is just started yet!"
Zen: "Huh, let's battle then!"



Zen is able to zoom forward in the inside line! Zen is trying to overtake Brooke!

Brooke: "Wow, you're good, but not just yet!"
Zen: "Okay then, I'll put strength on. Pedal to the metal!"

Right at the straight Zen is outrunned by Brooke but once again Zen tries to drift the corner!



It seems Zen is trying to regain supreme against Brooke in turns!

Brooke: "Heck! Even though I block you, you always have an opportunity to pass me!"
Zen: "I knew my luck will be there..."



Zen already overtake Brooke there, but Brooke's top speed is better so she can have a chance to overtake him necessarily. Meanwhile Zen blocks Brooke from overtaking!

Zen: "How?"
Brooke: "Well..."



Brooke: "Here comes my true advantage!!!"

As Brooke and Zen are about to take on the next turn ahead...



Zen: "Ouch!"
Brooke: "This is what I call as overtaking inside line - hard way."

Zen pulls Brooke on inside line at the next turn just like Brooke did. Now they're heading to the bridge section!



Zen drifts at that section, but Brooke slightly brakes to that section and that leads Brooke to another technique of her own!

Brooke: "Hey you, see this one!"



While Zen almost losing control on his drift, Brooke simply crossing that bridge just by braking before that section! Now Brooke is able to overtake Zen easily!

Zen: "Crap!"
Brooke: "Face it, young boy. That's the Trickster's technique look like."

But despite that fuss, Zen is able to catch her outside line!



Brooke: "Dang, you got on my nerves!"
Zen: "Don't forget, girl. I am an aspiring driver, and I should defeat a Trickster like you!"
Brooke: "Oh no you don't!"



Brooke: "What?"

Marty: "Oh yeah!"
Shark: "Overtake that girl, Zen! We should beat a Tricker!"
Marty: "Trickster!"
Shark: "Whatever..."



It's the final lap now! Brooke has a better top speed so she can overtake Zen on straights!

Brooke: "What do you think of my top speed?"
Zen: "Well, impressive. But I will conquer these turns!"

Shark: "Prove it!"
Marty: "Zen!"



Brooke: "Well, you're not too bad at all kid. But this battle isn't over YET!"
Zen: "Do you think so? I can overtake you in turns!"

Marty: "Nice! Keep it coming!"
Shark: "Overtake her on the next turns!

Both Brooke and Zen are flat out to the second turn which is a left hander. Unlike the first turn which is a long left hander (don't be fool by the roadblocks ), this turn is a short turn. That means Zen can pull off stylish drifts! And as expected, he does....



Brooke: "Dang it! He's too fast in turns!"
Zen: "Well..."

Brooke is able to regain her lead at the long straight after that turn, but not for long as Zen takes the inside line and able to steal her racing line.



Brooke: "What the heck!!!"

Marty: "Go for it!"
Shark: "Nice move!"

Turns later...




Brooke: "Heck! This racer is so fast!"
Zen: "Okay, this is it! The section where I made a mistake on."
Brooke: "I wish he repeat that same mistake. That way, I can regain my lead!"

Zen let off the gas pedal to enter the corner where he had a mistake a lap before. Moments later...



Zen: "Wow, I didn't think before! I think I'm too obsessed at drifting in turns. Maybe I should really brake at any point now."
Brooke: "Crap! He can fix his mistake done at the first lap!"

Now several turns left! Can Brooke regain her lead?




Brooke: "Aarrgh!!! I can't regain the lead! He's too fast!!! Even with my top speed setting!"
Zen: "Top speed setting doesn't help at sharp corners, except with a proper technique!"
Brooke: "Nooo!!!"



This is the last chance! Can Brooke regain her lead? It's a long straight so it's clearly where Brooke strong at! But close to the finish line...

Brooke: "Come on!!!" (steps her gas pedal harder)
Zen: "Crap!" (tries to block Brooke)

Marty: "Come on!!!"
Shark: "Zen!!!"

And the finish line is there! Someone's cross it! And it is...



Brooke: "I think I'm not Trickster-worthy girl now..."

'nuff said.

Shark: "Zen wins!"
Marty: "Nice!"

All the crowds are cheering for Zen and Brooke. They're applausing their race.

Brooke: "Wow, I can't believe it. Your techniques are so Trickster-worthy than me."
Zen: "Well, you don't have to be sad."
Shark: "You've raced again since your inactivity! That's why we want to race you!"
Brooke: "Anyway, thanks guys. Pfft..."
Marty: "Okay, I have to ask you one question, do you know Drift Girls team?"
Brooke: "Drift Girls? You mean a racing team organized well by Danielle Cromwell?"
Zen+Shark+Marty: "Yes!"
Brooke: "Wait a minute, I was a member there. Too bad because I have an inactivity I lost my relation between me and the team. That's why I quitted racing and Drift Girls. I have some college stuff to do."
Shark: "Wow, you're so busy."
Brooke: "Yes I know. But I have an info regarding that."
Zen: "What is it?"
Brooke: "Drift Girl's HQ is South from here. Drive until you find the Fujiwara Lakeside Town Hall and wait for Danielle to appear. I think she's most likely appear there by today."
Shark: "Wow."
Brooke: "There's more. Danielle's car is a black Subaru Impreza WRX STI. How many horsepower in your car that you have Zen?"
Zen: "160 horsepower."
Brooke: "She's got 260hp. What's more, it's full stock. You will not stand a chance against her I believe."
Zen: "Uh..."
Shark: "260? That's insane!"
Marty: "How can we get such tuning like that?"
Brooke: "I guess there's nothing I could do except to give you an engine tuning. This would cost many dollars and time. Tell me, what parts you've installed?"
Zen: "I have weight reduction, ECU, Transmission. That's what I have."
Brooke: "Okay, I guess I have to lend my exhaust then."
Zen: "But..."
Brooke: "Well, I was interested in tuning cars since I was active, but well. You can have my muffler then. It can gain you 20hp. This is the only choice I can offer, take it or leave?"
Zen: "I guess I have to take it."
Brooke: "Nice. Well, let's install it at Fujiwara tuning. Let that afro man do the work."
Zen: "Okay, let's go!"
Marty: "Yeah!"
Shark: "I think we should race again!"

Now the race between Zen and Brooke is over, but conquering Fujiwara Lakeside isn't as easy as conquering Fujiwara Village. Therefore, Zen can only trust in his tuning and settings plus technique as a last resort since Danielle has a stock 260hp Imprezza. What the battle will be? Wait next episode!

NEXT EPISODE

Danielle shows up! She is now serious to challenge Zen! But the problem is her GC8 is 260hp while Zen's AE86 is not yet reaching 200hp! How will the battle go?

Last episode, Zen Kusanagi's Sprinter Trueno 86 is able to take on Brooke Starfields' Civic SiR. Brooke Starfields is the only Trickster on Fujiwara area. Other than that, no one. Thanks to Zen's amazing drift, Brooke the Trickster is defeated. Now the next mission is to race Danielle's Impreza GC8 which have 260hp, while Zen only has 160hp.

Because of that, Brooke takes Zen to the Fujiwara Tuning Shop where Matsumoto will install the muffler that Brooke lend to Zen.

Car Tuning, 12:00

Matsumoto: "So you want me to install this one?"
Brooke: "Yes, on Zen's 86 please."
Matsumoto: "Wait, what is it for?"
Brooke: "Zen is about to face Danielle's GC8."
Matsumoto: "Ah, The Drift Girls leader? She came here an hour ago to tune her car."
Zen+Brooke: "What!?"
Marty: "No way!"
Shark: "That would be impossible!"
Matsumoto: "Don't worry, she's not here for power tuning, just for a weight reduction."
Brooke: "Well, still. That would be increase Danielle's acceleration."
Marty: "But, I still have one theory. Zen's car is weighted at 940kg while Danielle's 1205kg. Because both Danielle and Zen reduced their weights then the difference is 920 to 1162. That means Zen can have another advantage here."
Brooke: "I know, but..."

Meanwhile, Danielle enters the scene

Brooke: "Uh oh... Here it is..."
Danielle: "Matsu, does the tuning is finished?"
Matsumoto: "Yes, you can take your car now."
Danielle: "Thank you."
(Danielle looks at Zen)
Danielle: "Zen?"
Zen: "Danielle?"
Danielle: "Well, I think we're meet eachother again. After my loss at Drift Academy, now I formed Drift Girls so I can redeem myself from that loss."
Marty: "Then?"
Danielle: "Don't ask. By the way, you beat Carrie and Mollie, don't you?"
Zen: "Yes, and I even beat your ex-member Brooke."
Brooke: "That's right. I don't race much since I have college activities. Sunday is the only time I can get free of."
Danielle: "Well, if you think you can beat me, look at this!" (takes out the track map to Zen, Marty, Brooke and Shark)



Marty: "Oooo...."
Shark: "What a tight track."
Brooke: "That is the most trickiest road I ever seen."
Danielle: "Now, I will wait for you. Come to Fujiwara Lakeside Town Hall before 2pm. I'm waiting..."
Zen: "Okay, let's do this!"
Shark: "Enough with these arguments! Let's settle this thing quick!"

And the party goes to the Fujiwara Lakeside Town Hall after the muffler installation is complete.

11th February 2007
Fujiwara Lakeside Town Hall, 12:30

Danielle: "Wow, so you come here at last. Now, let's settle this fight with 2 laps. Remember, I have a GC8, you have AE86."
Zen: "I know."
Danielle: "Anyway, let's get this thing started."

The race is about to go. Again, Marty is the flagger.

Marty: "Okay, everyone's ready?"
Zen: "Yes!"
Danielle: "Come on!"
Marty: "On your mark.... Get set... Ready.... GO!!!"



And the race is go! Because Zen's car weight is smaller, Zen has a head start! But that's just a beginning, wonder what will happen in the next turn?



Marty: "Dang! That Impreza has a responsive power!"
Brooke: "It's an 4WD car. The 4WD cars has a stable handling, although they can't slide through corners. Sliding their cars is not an easy thing, unless you can do a weight transfer."
Shark: "Well, let's just conclude that Danielle's car handles quicker."
Marty: "But this will NOT break Zen's spirit!

Back to the race...



Danielle takes an inside line at the 4th 90 degree turn! Zen slides at the outside line! It looks like Danielle's gap to Zen will be smaller because she have not only stable handling but also more power!

Danielle: "Do you think you able to get away from me so easy?"
Zen: "It's just a beggining!"

But Danielle's car is being closer to Zen's car! Moments later at the next turn...



Danielle is able to pass Zen's car! Danielle is now in the lead!

Danielle: "How's that?"
Zen: "Dang, this girl is more than insane than I first saw her at D.A! But, if her Vivio is driven by Carrie, is this car is really hers? Or she borrow it from someone?"



Danielle is slow and steady through the next turn while Zen is struggling to catch her faster car! At the next turn, both Danielle and Zen slow down! It seems that Danielle tries to take the inside section of the turns and Zen tries to overtake her at the outside line by drifting!



And at that time, Zen is able to overtake Danielle's car!



Zen: "I'm leading now!"
Danielle: "Not for a long time!"



Danielle regains her position at the next turn!

Danielle: "How's that now?"
Zen: "This is not over yet!"

Both of the drivers are now overcoming the next turn and they come at the straight section! Danielle's car is much faster right now, but at the next turn, Zen is once again doing his opportunistic move!



Zen: "Yeah! This is it! The final lap!"
Danielle: "Don't think I'm unable to keep this position just because I go the outside line! I do it on purpose because I just slow down a bit by releasing the gas pedal. Now I'll keep this speed so you will not able to catch me!"

Shark: "Come on!!!"
Marty: "Dang! This girl is much more expert than the first time I saw her!"
Brooke: "Well, actually that Imprezza it's not hers if I'm not wrong."
Marty: "Pardon me?"
Shark: "What is that?"
Brooke: "I received a text message saying that Danielle wants to borrow someone's GC8. I have a proof." (showing Marty and Shark the text message)

"I'm just fine, borrowing Joan's GC8, u?"

Shark: "So that means..."
Marty: "Joanie is also on the team?"
Brooke: "Definitely yes. In a simple word, Joanie and Danielle shares the same Imprezza."

Back to the race, the gap between Danielle and Zen is wider! Danielle has a nice top speed while Zen keeps drifting in order to keep his speed at the constant standard fast pace (stable between 55mph/90kmh 60 mph/100 kmh+).



But it doesn't make a difference at the first straight section (illustrated at the first lap is the second straight section, the first one is longer than the second one). Therefore, Danielle still have a quite big gap against Zen.



Danielle: "Bye bye!"
Zen: (mutters to himself) "Dang it! That car have a higher top speed than mine! I guess I will lost at this one. But still, there are several tight corners after this! Danielle will slow down heavily for reaching the inside line. But, hey. I can overtake her by drifting on the outside line!"
Danielle: (mutters to herself) "I think that 86 guy will no longer a master today. I foresaw it!"

And several corners later, Zen is able to fix his gap!



Danielle: "Dang it! How come he..."




Danielle: "What the heck?"
Zen: "Great!"

Zen is now able to regain his lead! Now the race is almost at the end of the stage! Who will win? Remaining sections are the short straight followed by the final turn! But Danielle threatens Zen's position!



Danielle: "Where will you go now?"
Zen: "That turn! Need to do an opportunistic move right now!"



Danielle slightly damages Zen's car! Zen is starting to lose control on his car!

Zen: "Dang!"
Danielle: "Sorry."

At the next turn...



It looks like this is the fight for the finish!

Marty: "There it is!"
Shark: "Two cars battling for the win!"
Brooke: "I wish both of them are fine..."

And both of them are brawling for the last corner! But...



Zen: "Ouch!"
Danielle: "You're dead!"



Zen tries to control the car from the spinning! And he did! But the one who crosses the line is....















Marty: "No!"
Shark: "Zen!!!"
Brooke: "This can't be!"
Zen: "I'm over..."

And for the first time, Zen takes his first defeat, along with being spun out, and ended up almost fall into the ditch.

Marty, Brooke and Shark runs to Zen's car.

Marty: "Zen!"
Brooke: "Are you alright?"
Shark: "Please! Tell me you're not dead!"
Zen: "I'm not, just losing control. That's why I lost the race."
Marty: "Oh no..."
(Marty turns his head to see Danielle)
Marty: "Danielle!"
Danielle: "You see? I was spun out at D.A, but Zen spuns out and almost dead at this course! You better stay out from my friend's Imprezza!"
Marty: "Let me guess, Joanie Danderson?"
Brooke: "What?"
Shark: "What?"
Danielle: "How the heck you know my friend's name! Brooke!"
Brooke: "What? I'm not doing anything bad!"
Marty: "She's right! I know sure that your car has a 'JOANIE' nameplate on it! While your car has a nameplate 'DANI'!"
Danielle: "Oh you!"
(Joanie enters the scene)
Joanie: "Nice race! I'm impressed! I watched this race at my house right at the starting line and Danielle, your driving is so, impressive."
Danielle: "Finally my revenge paid off."
Joanie: "Well, glad for you."
Marty: "So you're the real troublemaker for all this mess?" (points to Joanie)
Joanie: "Mess? It's no mess! If you want to rematch, go get someone else to drive!"
Marty: "That's so unpolite! You better watch out for that!"
Brooke: "Zen, can you drive home?"
Zen: "I can, but..."

Suddenly, a Suzuki Carry enters the scene as the driver is revealed to be Hiroto Masahashi, the old man.

Hiroto: "What the hell is going on here?"
Marty: "Joanie is the real troublemaker!"
Hiroto: "The Drift Girls!"
Danielle: "Hiroto!?"
Hiroto: "How violent, pushing Zen's AE86 and making him going off almost to the ditch. Well, I must say it's great but it's violent you know."
Joanie: "Then why you would care for it anyway?"
Hiroto: "Well, I'm going to bring his confidence back!"
Joanie: "What? Are you going to bring his confidence by letting him win on purpose with your pick-up truck? No way!"

And suddenly, the man who drive a Mazda Autozam AZ-1 enters the scene. The driver is revealed to be Naru Masahashi, Hiroto's son.

Naru: "Pull your words! Our car is equipped by 'Acceleration+' settings! Although his car is overpowered, but Hiroto-san, Zen and I are equal in performance!"
Zen: "Guys?"
Joanie: "Brooke, stay away from that guy!"
Brooke: "Sorry Zen, she's forced me..." (leaves from Zen)
Naru: "Zen, let's drive again! This time Me, my father and you will race once again on the same track with a different route! Don't you notice the dirt area around here?"
Zen: "A little."
Naru: "Great! Now our race will be held on that route! Let's get ready Zen, because we, the Kazoku no Masahashi will bring your confidence back!"
Joanie: "Okay, we'll stay out from here, but we're refrain from go away from here!"
Naru: "One rule, DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE!"

Fujiwara Lakeside Town Hall, 13:00

Hiroto: "Zen, is your car damaged?"
Zen: "Yes, but nothing much."
Hiroto: "Well..." (walking around Zen's car) "I think your car is slightly damaged, but that's only cosmetic damage. Wait, seems this headlight is broken."
Zen: "Is that really bad?"
Hiroto: "Not really, but you will not able to drive nighttime with this condition. That means after the race, I will introduce you to my partner. He's young, despite he's not a teenager anymore."
Naru: "Father, when we will race?"
Hiroto: "About now. Good luck Zen!"
Zen: "Okay."

Zen is lost to Danielle, it is the first time that he's losing in races. However, will the next race is really able to gain Zen's confidence back?

Marty: "Are you ready???"

And who's the partner that Hiroto mentioned?"

Marty: "GO!!!"
