9/11 - We will never forget
A day of remembrance and prayer, 9/11 was one of the most tragic days in United States history.
The federal government has asked the country to participate in silent prayer and community service to commemorate those lost during the attacks. The World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the deserted field in Pennsylvania should all be thought about during this day and days to follow. And myself had lost much that day. Sitting in my 4th grade class, all I could do was listen to my teachers. I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a television while walking to the restroom and saw what was ACTUALLY going on. At that moment, I was frightened for the life of my family, my friends, and myself. I lost my cousin that day and will never forget him. I would like everyone to share their story to commemorate this day. You can write tomorrow or even the next day. I'm sure everyone that lost their lives that day would appreciate your prayer and hope for your life to be well lived. Please share your story here. I see this on the night of 9/11 from my window... It's very special to see this...

Re: 9/11 - We will never forget
8 years back but it still feels like it happened yesterday.
Came home from school as a 10-year old boy, watched tv while we got a phonecall - Someone saying we should change the channel NOW.
We did, and what we saw was one of the most horrifying things that ever could happen...
And yes, even though I live more than 2000 miles away.
It was a shocking happening here.
I hope that this mystery will be solved.
What I personally believe is that i'm an idiot, but what are your opinions?

Re: 9/11 - We will never forget
My prayers are with everyone, sorry to hear about your cousin Burn
I remember we had to leave early that day of school, and when I got home it was still going on. I remember when My dad got home he was pretty pissed off more than anything. And 8 years later I am still pissed.
And for Lexx... There is no way in hell that our own government would set something like this up, no matter who is in office at the time. You saw those planes hitting the buildings with your own eyes. I have seen plenty of documentaries about the people behind the 9/11 attacks and there is no way that our own government would do this. I take it that you are a truther? Kinda like the communist that resigned last weekend.

RAWR!
First off, let me say that the whole "George Bush set up 9/11" bullcrap that Lexx said is just that, BULLCRAP! Did you pull that off of an episode of South Park or something?!? Freakin' ridiculous!
Next off, I happened to know a friend living in my dorm here in Iowa that lost his father in the WTC, Burn. Even to this day, it still hurts him to think about this day. I'm sorry about your cousin as well, Burn.
I remember turning on the TV and seeing the North Tower burn as I was getting ready for class. My mom didn't understand what was going on, but a few minutes later when we saw another plane hit the South Tower, I started to cry (and still do to this day, when I see the pictures) when the airplane burst into flames, instantly seeing a mass murder being committed right before America's very eyes. It felt like we were all being stabbed in the heart by the people that had done this. I was in the 5th grade back then, and I had gotten scared that the next tower that would be hit would be our own Sears Tower (I refuse to call it by it's new name). Lucky for us, they never planned to go that far into the country, but every time I think about it, it just angers me and downright pisses me off beyond no end to know that these bastards attacked us and are getting away with it as well as other horrible crimes against the free world today. To attack one's country is a sin, an unforgivable sin, and they will never get away with it. Japan got theirs after Pearl Harbor, now let's hope that America can make these fundamentalist bastards fall on their knees.

And on another note, you have a beautiful shot of Manhattan from that point of view, Burn. Thanks for sharing with us the ghost towers shot that you did. It's beautiful....
