So close JP
Montoya came close. Me and my boy were glued to the TV. He was running away with it for a while. Guess we'll have to wait a bit longer for his first win on an oval. Fun race to watch.

I really wanted a caution after Kasey Kahne took the lead... I can't belive that race, Goodyear has some work to do yet again.
lol J. Gordon was swearing on the radio like you could not belive...

That was a good race though. Those three cars were quite good there in the last third. Each of em were strong at various parts during a run. One of the best Atlanta races I've seen in quite some time, several leaders leading a ton of laps. Yes Goodyear has a way to go but it was a nice debut nonetheless for the Atlanta Cup night race (maybe not Nationwide).
I still don't get how Kasey Kahne got the lead there after the last restart after spinning the tires. Its like that car was in a whole 'nother zip code after that last pit stop. Harvick was close though to finally breaking through, Montoya too. I don't think another caution would have hurt Kahne's chances though how good his car was on the short run, but it could have helped Montoya if he had a better restart.
I kept asking myself all night, why didn't Bowyer get the Harvick setup? Lmao.
As the Chase goes, it 'appears' Montoya and Kahne have solidified themselves 'enough' to make the Chase, but mathematically even Edwards in 5th could fall out if a disaster occurs. The only good news for the Top 12 is Kyle Busch is 37 points out of Matt Kenseth in 12th and another 42 points to Greg Biffle in 11th. Vickers is the meat in the sandwich and not a likely contender at Richmond. Gonna be a battle....

It's going to be great! I think this year is going to be in the history books as one of the best NASCAR Championships ever.
