RESULTS: TS Shootout @ Talladega

We held our second annual TS Shootout @ Talladega. Raptor again got the surprise pole much like he did in the
Dega Dash. Burnout won segment one in a dominating fashion. But it was segment two where it got hot and heavy. Both Pilburn and Burnout led most of the laps but behind them when they were leading, the racing was tight and close. There were numerous cautions which allowed Pilburn to plan a good fuel strategy to take him to the checkers. When it came to 4 to go, Burn led but Pil quickly closed the gap due to a slightly dryer fuel tank. A lap later, he made a pass out of turn 2 forcing Burn to take the line next to the wall. Pil successfully made the pass entering turn 3/4 and held onto the lead the last couple laps to score his second consecutive Shootout victory. Burn finished right behind 0.220 seconds behind. The fan vote winner Fastman rolled in 3rd and the Dash runner-up crossed in 5th position. The Dega 500 is next week.
