SCARTS Season 1 Recap

The SCARTS (then The Turbo Sliders NASCAR-F1 Racing Series) era began in summer of 2008 finding out about Keppana's oval tracks. The original idea for the league was to do a half oval, half F1 schedule since there was a lack of oval tracks. The different direction to this league attracted racers such as Mike Nike, Rawr, and even Dede. Once Burnout began to design some new oval racetracks, the focus turned more onto oval racing and the title TSNASCAR was formally given to the league. The intent from the start was to run the stock cars even at the F1 racetracks, which is indeed what we did. We ran at Melbourne and Laguna Seca as F1 racetracks during the shortened 12 race season. Three drivers tied in wins during the course of the season, Cup winner Pilburn, Burnout, and Klutch. This season flew under the radar in the Turbo Sliders community yet built on what Season 2 would become known for later on.
