ENTRY LIST: Rising Stars of Michigan 300 (Race 1 of 12)

This race will kick off the SCARTS Rising Star Series. This series is designed for developmental training for rookies and also for those who have had minimal success so far in 2010 in the Full Throttle Cup Series.

This series, in essence, replaces the SCARTS Phenom Series with even more emphasis placed on experienced drivers staying out of contention for the series title. So that means, we will use Nationwide Series cars.

As of Race #8 at Pocono for Full Throttle, the Top 5 in points will NOT be allowed to race in any of the SCARTS Rising Star Series events as well as anybody else (TomCat) that has won races this year, at least through the first six races (more detail below). This opens up people like Kooler (even though 6th in expanded Chase elligibility), Aniro, Drillz, DerekE, KartRossi, Fsv, AKIL, and Charter a chance to race for a SCARTS title.

-Schedule Info-
We plan to run a Rising Star Series race the day before a Cup series event. Each race will be 60% of a Cup Series race length, so more of a shootout. The same rules will apply as in Full Throttle: caution rules, bonus points, black flags, etc.

-Season Overview-
In the first six races of the series, those who impress admins or behave well enough will be granted entry into the Full Throttle cup race the next day. Drivers who race rough, curse, or misbehave in any other way will be refused a Cup series entry.

In the final six races of the series, noone may enter into a Cup Series race unless one of the drivers in this series makes the Full Throttle Chase. The Chase for the Full Throttle Cup is being expanded to SIX drivers so that only the six in that series may race for the title. Even though Kooler is in a Chase spot as of now (6th), he is able to compete in Rising Star, only the current Top FIVE cannot plus TomCat (race winner). Everybody else will get to run Rising Star series races, even if one of the current Top 5 in Cup misses the Chase.
