I have a feeling that the points are going to get tighter as we go... The chase battle will be a great one this year.

I totally agree...the way I see it, there's two battles going on right now. A battle for the points lead, with 1st through 4th separated by just 27 points. Pilburn has been consistent all year long and has finished in the top three in every race that he has started so far. Burnout's not looking too bad either, he's -1 from Pil. But let's not forget about Scorpio and Raptor, they have every right to be in the hunt as well. Scorpio has a top 5 in all 5 races (only Burnout can say that as well), and with Raptor's win in Phoenix, it's bound to be a confidence booster after Klutch failed to make the show.

There is also another race in the points. It's the race to the chase between 5th through 9th place. Lexx is currently in the hot seat, getting back into contention after Klutch's absence, but a last place finish in Phoenix won't keep him in 5th for long. Klutch is going to want that spot back and he'll be hungry to have it! We also can't forget about Dede, who having started the season late, already has a win and is the highest ranked rookie in the points! He's shown that he is much more than capable of winning races and can set the pace as well. There's also Fastman65, who has been hanging steady in the points. And finally, who can forget the other rookie in contention, Aniro? He had been languishing in the back of the pack in his first three starts, with a best finish of 6th back in Daytona in July. But could a top five at Phoenix be a sign of a breakthrough for Aniro? We'll see...stay tuned as the Full Throttle Cup Series goes into a bye week before the season continues on in the future!
